Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Happy Friday Funday Everyone!

So this week I am still enjoying the thought of fall coming and I wanted to make a less feminine card for a friend

to let them know they are a blessing!

They is the Card Project:

Gina K. Designs :

  • Stamp Set - Give Thanks
  • Die Set - Give Thanks
  • Pure Luxury Card Stock - white Heavy Base Weight - Cut - 9 1/2” X 4”  Scored @ 4 3/4”  Kraft - 3 3/4” X 4”
  • Premium Dye Ink - Warm Cocoa
  • Other Items - Water Color Paper - Cut  2 3/4” X 3 1/2”   Twine - Dark Chocolate, Zig Clean Color Markers - Orange, Brown Mustard, Light Blue, Carmine Red, Olive Green (The Leaves were left over from another card project)

So I cut all the layers and card base to size. Then I placed the watercolor layer on the work surface and stamped the pumpkin image with a light color so you can barely see where it is stamped. I just wanted to be able to see where I wanted the color to be.

Next I put down the orange color and added the water brush to blend out the color.

Then I went back and added some of the mustard color and brown and blended with the water brush again.

I sponged a little Sweet Mango and Honey Mustard Around the edges and lightly over the area, Then I stamped the pumpkins in Warm Cocoa ink.

Grabbed the Kraft Panel and Did the wood graining technique on this layer.  Just remember to hold the ink pad up on a angle before running it over the paper.

I added some leaves left over from another project. Added some twine and I used the Brown Zig marker to ass darkness under the pumpkins to ground them.

On the final project I used the first card I made and I didn't sponge the background I had used a light Blue Zig Clean Color Marker, that is why it looks a little different! :)

Here is my final card project!

I hope you all have a good week

and take some time to get a little inky! <3

Beautiful card Karen and the woodgrain looks like the real thing.

very pretty fall card.

I am so happy to see the fall colors. I find them bright and festive.

Beautiful card!

Neat project!  I haven't woodgrained in a long time.

I think you meant to say you ADDED the brown Zig marker under the pumpkins for shading!  I have to admit, I did get a chuckle out of the typo!!  Quick and easy, beautiful card!  Thanks for sharing. : ))

Wonderful card, Karen! Love everything about it. Thank you for your inspiration!

I like the sponged background effect -- I feel it adds something extra...

Love this card, thank you for sharing
