Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hey Y'all!!  Your teacher Cat here with a bit of 'education' / pictorial on Collage stamping!  It's something fun to do, and really no wrong way to do it!  So that is what makes it so fun, right?  Can't mess up...errrr, well, unless you have a kitty like mine who likes to stamp with her paws, haha!  Ok, here we go!

This a picture of supplies I start with:  Im using the brand spanking new as of last night STV kit, Merry and Bright, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks, and heavy base weight Ivory carstock:

This shows beginning of stamping.  One of the main things to me in Collage stamping is to stamp off before stamping onto your main panel we are creating

and from here, just keep stamping on images...stamp off first every time!  I sometimes will stamp off once, sometimes twice.  With these oxide inks it was always at least 2 times.

and again:

You can also add other elements for your collage.  Here I am going to use some Christmas tissue paper that I picked up at the Dollar Tree.  I tore then inked the edges then glued down to my collage piece.

you can also use like, napkins, paper towels (they have pretty pattern that will show up), and of course toilet paper, as our wonderful leader GINA showed us one time! LOL!

Still adding some stamped off images here:

Stencils will also add lots of awesomeness to your collage!   I sponged VERY lightly

And then finally I added an image that I heat embossed in gold and drew some lines on the panel:

So now, I'm happy with my image panel.  But apparently Shady my cat wasnt.  I was able to rescue though...see the white area on the left?  I had kitty paw prints and smears when I came back after potty break! LOL!  sooo, had to cut that off!

And this is my finished project:

I used the flower image that I also used in the collage kinda brings it together.  The sentiment is from the new incentive stamp set, Scripty Holiday . and was heat embossed in gold too.

Ok, that's it! Basically, let your creativity take you where it will in making a collage! They are really fun to do and I hope i have inspired you and you can give it a try!

Happy Stamping!
