Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Welcome to the last Friday Funday of AUGUST! :)

This week I will share with you the Bokeh Technique!

Along with some sponging, and stenciling.

I am enjoying making cards with this BoHo Flowers Mini Kit so much.

I love the dies too! <3

This week I will share a video on this card and you will find

the write up under the list of items I used to create it! :)

* GKD - Art Stencils - Foliage

* Fine Detail Embossing Powder - White

Other items used...

Sponge Daubers, Foam Squares, MISTI, baby wipes

Here is the card! I am sure you recognize this one.  I was asked to do a video on it from a few of you, so I hope you enjoy it! :)  There is a link below for the video.

Card Base - 4 1/4” X 11”  scored @ 5 1/2”

White Layer - stencil on 4 x 5 1/2 and cut down after you stencil to  3 3/4” X 5”

Black Onyx Layer - 4” X 5 1/4”

Scrap for greeting and a piece to stamp the word You and die cut it out.

Use low tact tape to tape down the layer. Then tape down the stencil so it don’t move around.

If you want the Bokeh Technique to show up well, make your background darker. Sponge or use the stencil brushes to add the color over the stencil… remove the stencil and fill in any areas that don’t have ink with a background color… you can see from the picture above I sponged Ocean Mist all around the foliage. Grabbed the white ink and a large and small sponge dauber. Inked up the larger one and you put it on the paper and lightly twist. You should have a circle of white ink. After you have several then go back with the small one and ink it up and put it on the paper and give it a twist, make sure to stay in the same spot so you have a nice circle. While that dries, White Emboss the Flowers and Leaves then do a little emboss resist with Turquoise Sea and Jelly Bean Green. Die cute them out! Then rearrange them how you like them. Add your greeting and your word.  Attach them all, and Then layer your Turquoise Sea and White  card stock for the inside. Then you can stamp a flower inside for a little extra color and decor!

Thank You for stopping by, and let me know in the comments

if you will try the Bokeh Technique!

Bokeh is a Photography term.

It means blurred background or blurred lights!

Have fun and Happy Stamping.

I hope you will have a little time to get inky! <3
