Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi everyone and Welcome to this months Stamp Tv Kit  Friday Funday Challenge!

First off I want to Thank each and everyone of you

for playing along in last months challenge!

You all created such wonderful cards and revisited some

techniques.  That was fun to see some of your favorites

and some I have not tried yet!  :)

I am hoping most of you have gotten your StampTV Kit “Sending Love”.

If not and you are wanting to pick one up they are still available.

Ok, so this month we are going to be doing layers!?!

 There is a twist!   ;)

It is what I will call a  5 & 1

You will need to add 5 or more layers on top of your card base!

On 1 Layer you will have to create your own patterned paper.  :)

On this card I have 7 layers on top of my card base!  <3

Remember this is the Challenge for the month, and also a Winner will be randomly picked for a $20.00 Gift Certificate from Gina K. Designs!

On the card base I stamped the flower image in Versa  Mark and embossed it in GKD White Embossing Powder for my patterned paper.  On one layer I stamped both the large & small butterfly using Kraft Ink.

Products used on this card:

Gina K. Designs:

*Stamp Set - “Sending Love”

*Pure Luxury Card Stock - Kraft, White Layering Weight, &

 Dk. Chocolate

*Patterned Paper Pack - Journey of the Heart

*Fine Detail Embossing Powder - White

  • White Layer:   2 1/2” x 4 1/4”
  • Music Paper Layer:  2” x 5”
  • Script Layer:    2” x 4 1/4”
  • The Dk. Chocolate layers are 1/8”  larger than each panel. Sometimes less.

I don’t do that much thinking about the math part, so I just look at the cutter

and count the 16th of the inch, calling them dots.

You  know… one dot, two dots,  then slice… LOL.

You can do the math and just add  1/8th inch and that

will be 1/16th of a inch on each side.  :)

Then after sticking the layers together I cut a oval with a stitched died.

White Embossed the greeting. Also White embossed the Large

Butterfly on Velum and fussy cut.( easy to cut out).

Then just played with the layers until i got something I liked!

Put it together and all done!  You don’t have to have 7 layers,

but you can have more also! :) That is up to you.

But be sure to make one layer a handmade patterned paper layer!

This is the Finished Card!  ;)

I also stamped the butterfly on the inside!  <3

Ok it is your turn to create some 5 or more layered beauties!  :)

I am excite to see what you all create!

Congrats Dawn, LOVE your card too!!

I have to be honest, how do you guys keep track of what is a "Stamp TV Kit Stamp Set"? I have bought a few kits and never thought to keep the sheets that say what all came with the kit. Is there some search phrases, or a page that lists the kits?

Beautiful card Karen, love this challenge. Congrats Dawn!

Bonnie, in the store there is a category of just stamp tv kit stamps I think...least there used to be.  I actually try to remember to make them as a kit stamp either where I store them or on my inventory list...hopefully I haven't missed any, although being new it would be easy enough to figure out for me so far...but I can see in the future it would be harder if I miss marking it so I hope to not miss it.  LOL

Hi Bonnie, Dapperdoxie is correct. Over in the store there is a area that says STV Kit Stamps. If they are not all there yet, it may be due to some of the red rubber ones they are having made in to the clear stamps. But the majority of them are there so it makes it easier to know what stamps were in a Kit. I am now in the process of making my sets just so I know they were in a Kit. Since it don't matter what Kit, i am just marking it so I'll know. Also the patterned paper is usually the same name as the Kit and one of the stamp sets. Hope you all have a great day! :)
