Oh yeah I forgot to mention that for you the pricing will be beneficial for those decals as your dollar is way stronger than ours.

Karen - I totally get not wanting to live with just white or off white walls and suggest you check out this link: http://www.uwdecals.com/categories/wall-decals. These are made locally by someone in my area and they are truly beautiful. Nothing tacky about them and they can be removed without any damage to walls. I've seen them for real and am considering some for my dining room as I want something a bit different in there and don't want wallpaper. Lots of designs, good instructions and not over the top in pricing either. As to the rental not allowing you to paint have you thought of asking if they would approve a pastel colour at least in one or two areas. Most owners don't want tenants painting because they may get purple or some strong colour that is difficult to paint over. If you discuss with them the colour you may get lucky and get permission to make a change. Also you can promise to paint it back to off white before you leave which may help them to say yes. Doesn't hurt to ask. Alternatively why don't you hang some fabric on a wall. This gives you colour without any more than a couple of hooks for the pole or wire however you wish to hang it. While you rent, the walls are yours so hanging  a few paintings shouldn't be an issue unless your rental agreement has something unusual in it. Anyway I just thought I would suggest a couple of things as I well remember the days when we rented and had to make do with a few things that were less than what we really wanted. Hope it helps.

Ok, maybe I'm odd, but I'd rather have white walls than some of the strange colors they have out there...plus it's so much easier to cover white, than the darker colors that are in this house. LOL  We only painted what was the living room when we moved in, cause it was hideous, and I wanted what I had before.  However, I SUCK at painting walls, so thankfully I had help at the time, cause what I did had to be redone.  I can do the sponging just not a base coat I guess.  *roll eyes*  I'd LOVE to paint what is NOW our living room and the guest room but...they are darker colors, and with my inability to paint base coats I haven't bothered trying.  Maybe we can hire it done one of these days, till then we live with what they were when we moved...don't really MIND the colors, but are a little darker than I like myself.  Hopefully you can move or somehow get some of that color you crave in your life Karen!

I am looking forward to seeing Gina's new set, the pic I saw looks wonderful...something I'd LOVE to have myself!!!  LOL  Especially love what she has her paper in, don't mind what I have, but ... Oh well...what I have works, and was affordable so guess I shouldn't complain.  LOL

Karen, our previous house had all off-white walls.  That is what we painted them and it never changed.  Twenty-plus years later we purchase the house we are currently living in.  There is not a wall of white or off-white in this house.  The previous owners had everything done in earth tones.  It works for me and I really did not have to think about matching anything.  Even the kitchen and bathroom tiles are not white, but a cream color.  I am looking forward to seeing whatever Gina creates.  My spending hiatus is still on.  I went way overboard a few month's in a row, so my husband is keeping my credit card for the time being.  I look and think about what I will need, but so far I am not lacking anything.  Look forward to Friday Funday.

Good morning STV Kit Addicts!  ;)  Have you seen the pictures of Gina's soon to be filming studio? She has only shared a peek of her work station and you can get a glimpse of the wall that she painted in Turquoise Sea color!  Her favorite. I can't wait for her to get it all set up!  That will mean Tom can set up the Camera equipment and leave it. The room where she was filming is a big class room, and a few of the girls that work in the store and guest instructors will do classes in there. So this is real exciting that she will have her own crafty area to make videos! :) We all need our own crafty space.  :)  I have read that she is working on a lot  wonderful things that will be coming soon!  :)  I can't imagine how long it takes her to design stamp sets and then the patterned papers for the kit..... I think you all will be excited for the new stuff coming, I know I am!  :) <3 Anyway I Hope you all have a wonderful day and get to get a little inky soon!  <3  I do have to tell you ladies and gentlemen, I am living in a rent house, and I can't paint my walls... (in my previous house the walls had color) All these off white walls are just making me want to scream!  LOL. I don't want to hang to much on their walls, but I need some color in my life!  LOL. I remember when I was young... we had white walls. But I remember taking all my album covers and hanging them all over the walls, and even on the ceiling!  My mom would have probable been glad If I would have painted the walls!  LOL. Ok, sorry about the ramble, and I'm off to run to the store and hopefully make a video.. ( that won't take me 2 days like last time) LOL...  (((Hugs))) to you all. <3

I can understand the time to mourn thing...although sometimes since we usually have two dogs, we have gotten another right away so the other wasn't an only...not always though, depends on if we think they NEED it or not...not to mention if we can find one as dachshunds are hard to find around here and thats what we adore.   Like you I can't imagine being dog less for to long though!  :((

Karen, this week I canned potatoes, I helped my mom can beets a while back as she is getting so she can't do it by herself...and we will be starting on tomato's soon if their tomato plants start ripening them soon anyway.  I also got some peaches cut up into pie filling this week for our freezer...and some blue berries and blackberries frozen.  Strawberries and Black raspberries were done earlier as well as peas.  LOVE living here with so many Amish around, as we can get some yummy produce from them for our winter enjoyment.  :-))  Still have to find  corn to freeze...but it's not available here yet...least not from our Amish friends.

No playtime for me today unfortunately, had to take our babies to the vet...and then run some peaches and honey over to my parents...and seems the in between time was full of other things.  Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to play some tomorrow...but not sure as I may do more pie filling.  *sigh*  Gotta keep up with the peaches, as they ripen, cause I hate to waste them.  Almost got enough pie filling, then....the neighbors will get most of what is left I think...that we can't eat fresh anyway.

Karen & Dapperdoxie: Thanks so much for caring I really appreciate it. Life sure is different without her and we feel like we have too much empty space now. It will get better and I'm sure that we will get another dog in the future. We enjoy them so much I can't imagine being dogless forever. And yes she was our child as we too don't have any of our own. Just need time to mourn before we think about another pet.

Dapperdoxie, What all are you canning?  I'm sure it is wonderful things!  <3  That is time consuming but so worth it. I helped Mom and Grandma with preserves,  jellies, and tomatoes, but mom would freeze the peas with water in bags. Yumm, now I am hungry for so good veggies! I'm going to the farmers market this morning too!  :)

Johanna, sounds like you have cards to make and I know you will be thrilled to get you crafty room finished. I am so very sorry for your loss. It is so hard when our fur babies pass. A big (((HUG))) sweetie.

I hope you all will have a good weekend and do something that makes you happy!

(((Hugs))) for you all! :) <3

Ahh, so sorry Johanna that you lost your fur baby!  They sure do worm their way into our hearts don't they!  We adore ours...they are our kids, since we weren't lucky enough to have our own...so yes, I know how hard it is to lose them, but wouldn't want to live without them either.  Hope you will get to where you can play with your paper again soon!!

Since my dog passed I haven't wanted to spend time at my craft table. Want to enter the challenges though so I may force myself to get something done over the weekend. My new craft room is almost done and our furniture is back from storage so the weekend may end up being a move stuff around and place it all properly. Have to do some sympathy cards too as several people in our lives are dealing with losses at the moment. Need a new baby grandchild too so I really must get busy with some creating. Have fun everyone.
