Hi Stacy,

When your 2014 Oregon State Fair Paper Arts entries are received and judged, Kathi Schie and I are the ones that will display your art in 13 WHITE glass fronst, lighted, and locked cabinets (for example...all the birthday cards are displayed together, etc.)  - each cabinet is 6' tall and 6' long. Your name, town, the division of the entry, as well as a colored star if you win will be displayed above you entry for all to see. Any ribbons and gift cards will be attached to your entry when returned to you along with the judging sheet.

You register on-line by going to the 2014 Oregon State Fair website, choose Competitions at the top of the page, choose Creative and Artistic, then choose Paper Arts Handbook..please read thru all the rules, pay particular attention to Competition Rules on Page 6 on how to send in your entry if unable to drop off in person -  there is also list of drop off locations on page 8. The last two pages of the handbook have the different areas you can enter...up to 20 items. After deciding what you will enter, I suggest you print out the last two pages and note what you will enter...then go back to ONLINE REGISTRATION, read the info there and to begin your online registration, click on Exhibitor Registration on the left and fill in the sure to print out and keep your receipt.      HOPE MANY OF YOU WILL ENTER THIS YEAR...we have obtained gift certificates for every single FIRST place winners - an additional perk for entering this year!  Look forward to possibly seeing you at the Fair...there are going to be daily demos from 12-4pm at the Paper Arts Display area in the Jackman Long Building.

P.S. I am doing well since my total knee replacement last October...thanks for asking.

Has anyone heard how Jan is healing??

I am considering entering something ( need to make something lol) for the county fair here in Klamath Falls but, I am stumped over the how do you display the cards? ( it says in their book you can have 5 similar themed cards to an entry ) and or if you do, the State fair and you mail it in, how do you do that with the display of it? is is done by people working at the fair?

Welcome to OREGON Josie...You might sign up for 'Peddler's Pack' newsletter in Beaverton, OR...they have a lot going on. 'Run Away Art and Craft', a new store in Salem, OR (where I live) also has lots of activities. Not exactly sure how far Aloha is from these two locations, but it's all I know about. I know Craft Warehouse in Salem, OR has a card club as well as a scrapbook club, but not sure about the other CW stores in Oregon.

Welcome Diana!  Merry Christmas to all you Oregon and just across the boarder stampers!  It finally got above freezing for a couple of hours here in the Rogue Valley, and my dear hubby finally got the pipes thawed!

Trying right now to do a few Christmas cards for family....still have to do our Christmas letter which goes to 100 or so. Plugging away a little at a time!
Knee progress is slow but steady, so I'm happy with that....thanks for asking!
Have a wonderful holiday!

Thank you Jan. I will do that.  How is your TKR coming along?  My husband had both knees done in 2008 and 2010, and he's doing really well.  Keep up with your exercises and hope you get to creating again soon. ~ Diana
