If you're looking for a great place to get away and scrap/stamp with friends, check out Retreattocomplete on the internet.  This cabin is near Lake Cumberland in Kentucky (about 4 hours from Dayton) and it's awesome! You bring your own food.  Thur-Sun is only $125.00!! Sleeps 8. Gather your peeps and tell Kim Stotts "Kat" sent you! She's a wonderful Christian lady.  Our group go twice a year.

I live in Dayton and there are a few here.  A few have closed down too, which is so sad.  Guess the economy is hurting everyone.

Sounds like you are all talking about areas close to me--I'm about 45 minutes north of Lima near Defiance.  I teach Copic marker classes at the scrapbook store in Archbold, Scrapbook Korner. 

Lynne--where exactly is the store you teach at located?  I get to Findlay off and on, and would love to check it out but I haven't been able to find it yet.

Melaine-  Allen County is the Lima area!  I am going to have to hit Polaris next time I go up there for sure!!!

I am thinking of selling some of the stuff I make on Etsy, I need to see if they have a Dummy book out there for that , they seem to have one for everything else.  I love to scrap and stamp and do a lot of mixed media progjects but I don't have a lot of time for any of it.  I made some really cute Christmas cards.  I love to do anything with snowmen as well, I am obsessed!!

Unfortunately Columbus area has also had many stores close down. I recommend Scarpbook ARt on polaris. ITs a great store for scrapbooking and stamping

Kristin i dont know how far away allen is, but if its in findlay , then its 2 hrs away

Oh I don't get any payment from anyone for my comments.  I"m as likely to tell you what I don't like about a store I love.  Marco's does have good prices.

I only teach classes for one place, and that isn't for money, it is for product.  I have a real job that pays the rent, and seriously interfers with my fun.  LOL

I go to Marco's all the time, l always find something and I think they have really good prices!!!  I am not paid to say that!!!  LOL!  There is really only one great store left in our area and I love to go there as well!  We have had at least 3 others close down:

Oh yes, and Marco's Papers is in Dayton, which is a fun road trip for me.  A great scrap and stamp store.  They also do lessons.

I'm up in Findlay, which isn't far from Allen County.  I teach at The Scrapper's Place in Findlay, Ohio, straight up 75 from Lima, which is in Allen county.

I am actually in Springfield often as my son in in a youth orchestra on Monday nights:)  Where do you teach at Lynne?  Melanie, are there any good stores in Columbus, I go up there for work meetings but don't know where one single store is???  Long story but one of the counties I work with is Allen, and Auglaize and I know they are up that way, how close are you to there???
