I still store all my flat metal dies in CD cases with a magnet sheet adhered inside. You must buy the older thicker CD cases and simply remove the black insert. I have found them at Staples in a box of 25 for $9.99 then I purchase the magnetic sheets in a roll from hobby lobby for $9.99 you can also buy them in sheets but if you have a collection it is less expensive to buy the roll. Simply pop out the plastic insert cut the magnet sheet ( self adhesive ) to fit in both sides of case and add your dies. Obviously this does not work for the newer oversized dies and those are just left in the original package and stored on a clip it up. My sizzix and Tim Holtz etc. are stored in a white 4 drawer cube from Mikes. They fit perfectly. Once again the 12inch long ones dont fit but they do fit in the 2 drawer cubes.
Hope that helps.

I have blank cd cases as well as DVD cases (a bit larger, obviously) if you are interested. I am seriously de-cluttering!!! And I have no idea WHERE to get rid of all that I no longer need/want!

Thank you, Karen. I'm going to consider that.

Hi Karen,

I recently decluttered my space and found a couple of places to donate my things. I went to a retirement home which usually has an arts and crafts program.  I spoke with the coordinator and she was more than happy to take anything I was giving away.  I had lots of 12 by 12 pads that I just didn't use and some embellishments and she was ecstatic.  I also found a teacher that also was happy to receive the goodies.  They actually had a card making project for a boy who had a Wish of receiving as many cards as he could, so the students put the card stock I gave to them to good use.  Sometimes children hospitals will have art classes for the kids and will take craft donations as well.  It just takes calling around.  Hope this helps Karen.

Oh, and I store my dies like I do my stamps.  I put them on magnetic boards and then label them and stand them inside a container. Pretty much like how Jennifer M stores her stamps.  I just find it easier to look through and pick out what I want.  I also divide them into themes like my stamps.
