Just what is an art journal?

There are lots of very helpful sites out there, but let me give you a perverted version, skewed to a stamper's perspective. Art journalling, for me, is a spiral bound sketchbook that I use to jot…Continue

Hmmmm.. I'm not sure I agree with that Ky. Clearly my journal edges and ends have faded and I really don't think it's from handling because they didn't do it until AFTER I threw Sally in the lake. LOL AND... it was when they dried that they were faded. But... oh well. I never intend to throw cards in the lake. LOL

I noticed some bleeding too though they say Copics don't bleed from just water. So... I guess we live and learn.

I really don't think our lake is unclean... at ALL... we have VERY VERY strict rules about the lake and if you see the pic... it's pretty darn clear water. But.. all in all, who knows what "mother nature" puts in the water there, huh? *smile*

We were in New York when I learned to play hide and seek - but it's fun to see what everyone used to say. Cheri - I love that we share a love of trains. Crap should have some train stuff in him. Tina - Copics don't fade, but they do get worn if you handle them like we do the edges of our journals. Still haven't found the box with my Copics in them. Grrr!!

She still has a bit of sand in her cracks from the lake. LOL

Yeah, Ky, that saying is an oldie.....we used to say "Ollie, Ollie in free"....but I can't remember why. I think it was when we were playing a hide and seek game. Too funny.

I haven't had a chance to work on Crap lately.....I've been doing so many other things - but I did stick a piece of candy on his pages last week and my fruit/veggie stickers pages is pretty darn full. (I didn't steal them from the store either ;0)) I'll give him some more attention this weekend and then I'll take him for a photo shoot so's you all can see what Crap looks like. (heeheehee)

Amtrack ride sounds like fun Ky. Love train rides.

What??? Where'd you get that saying, Ky? LOL We use to say... Ollie Ollie Ox in Free! LOL LOL

Sally is suffering... she's had her cover taped and her edges are faded from the lake water. I didn't think Copics faded???

I'll get her photographed soon.

Ollie ollie in come free!!! Where is everyone? What have you been doing?? Come on - share a little! I need to get busy on mine. I did get to travel on Amtrak and it was most pleasant. I did a few little bits on my journal. I will get them photographed and uploaded if DH can help me! How's summer going for you all?

Hi girls! I didn't fall completely off the face of the earth. However, I am buried in boxes and schtuff. Just got my IKEA shelving and desk in the house, so I can finally start unboxing my supplies. Keep up the great work on those journals! I'm still waiting for you to use your Gina K papers/stamps in your journal....
