So what is your name on Geocaching.com and how did you choose it? Our family chose mtnbirders since we've mostly lived in the mountains and have loved bird-watching. We've done a lot of family…Continue

Just wondering if anyone has made anything that you used to leave in a cache? I've been working on these little purse charms, that I thought would be fun for someone to find.…Continue

Oh Lee that would be FUNtastic! I don't know if I can get there still this summer but I'll put it on my "to do" list. I love COLO and would love to get it on my states list :-)
Comment by Lee, GKD DT/Moderator on July 13, 2012 at 11:16am Pam you NEED to come visit me!! We stay at the company apt in Denver M-W and our home is 3 hours S of Denver. So we could easily do some fun caching!!!!
Well I have been VERY busy geocaching. Did the ET highway (1500) back in February then again in June to finish the new 500 - did over 800 in remote Nevada. Then I was in WY for a business trip so I got four new states in plus Yellowstone! This past weekend did the IL River Road series - so I'm POOPED! LoL LEE I need to come do COLO - how close to Denver are you?
Comment by Lee, GKD DT/Moderator on July 13, 2012 at 11:08am Oh we haven't been active in this group for a while, have we!? LOL We haven't had much time to geocache much lately...and there aren't many close to us that aren't my hubby's since we live so isolated. But we have a road trip coming up and that means fun out of State caching!!!!
Comment by Samantha Hacker on July 13, 2012 at 12:13am Also.. When me and my friend go caching, when we find a cache and an innocent person just happens to around, we yell: WE FOUND THE CACHE!!!! (Cache-Cash), We have SOOOOO much fun xD

Comment by Donna Baker on September 10, 2011 at 10:15am hi everyone - I am not that much of a Geocacher, but I have Lee & her nice Hubby to thank for introducing it to us. My husband John is a CRAZY addicted Geocacher. I enjoyed it a little at first, but then when it got too hot in Texas, my interest started to decline rapidly. This was 2 years ago when they visited Austin area on a road trip. I am so glad John found some local geocachers to cache with, because it let me off the hook! However, I do occasionally think it's fun and it's nice to be introduced to history, new places, etc. that we may otherwise not have discovered! He is working on the calendar caching (filling in for a cache every day), Texas county caches and has hidden 33 caches and has logged 2509 caches. I have logged about 113 but I found/signed way more than that. I just have too many interests to keep up with it.
We are planning a trip from TX to Taos, NM to visit friends, then up to visit Lee & her family in CO, then on to WY, NE, KS, OK and I do NOT do well on long road trips. Please keep me in your prayers when we go! HA. I am doing this for John because I love him but God knows I don't do so well not being CRAFTY all the time, so when I'm not driving, will plan to do some hand sewing or something. My favorite thing to do in the car is sleep though!
