Hi! I just tried foiling for the first time the other day. I have a Scotch laminator that I've had for several years and don't want to invest in another if I don't have to. I only tried a couple of times, with Foil Mates, and got lots of black spots. Wondering if anyone else uses the Scotch laminator, or if I'm doing something else wrong (I let it heat up for 30 minutes, used thin dollar store parchment paper, and added a piece of cardstock) I can keep trying but don't want to waste my foil and supplies if this laminator won't work. Thanks!
Thanks, Diana - I'll keep experimenting!

Hi, try just a scrap of foil - I use copier paper as it is smoother and if your laminator will take it, mine does, I use 2 shims of GK Heavy weight cards stock. Have been getting much better results. It could be as the laminator is older needs more of a shim. I use a Mini Minc and get very good results this way. Hope this helps .
