Thank you Diana.  I hadn't thought of the kit boxes, what a perfect solution.

I have mine in GK kit boxes. The rolls fit perfect. The sheets I have in a kit box also. I don't keep the kits together but put paper with what I have, stamps go into my inventory, etc. so I have a lot of the boxes. You can also buy these in the store but any boxes would work. I have just added a label to the front with the colors in each box and as I use the foil I mark how much is left so I know when to reorder. Can't tell how much is in the tube by just looking! Hope this helps.

Hello to fellow foiling fans.  I am new to foiling and have managed to gather a good size amount of foils along with the related tools.  My question for you seasoned foil experts is how to you store you foils?

You can also take to Office Supply store and have them copy on heavy card stock on a laser printer. I got a cheap one at Walmart.

you can't foil with ink jet...has to to laser cause it's the toner that the foil melts into as I understand it.  I hope to eventually get one, but so far haven't been that lucky.  LOL

Is a laser printer necessary?  I have a HP Envy, it is ink jet but prints beautifully.

Thank you Diana :)

Rebecca, you are basically correct, but it is still trial and error. You need a "hot" laminator or mini Minc, etc. My printer is one I got at Walmart for $99 - HP LaserJet Pro Mfp M125w. I set it for best printing and it does a good job. I have a mini Minc. Tried a cheap laminator, didn't work well. You need a good image to start, I stamp my stamps with my Misti 2-3 times, then copy and foil.

Just a note, don't get too much too soon until you try it. I did a lot of foiling on my Christmas cards, but not sure I will just for other cards. You might want to try Gina's foil mates first if you have a laminator. Make sure you will enjoy it.

Hi all, I am after some advice please, I am new to card making and would like to have a go at some point with foiling for those of you with laser printers, which make of laser printer do you own which produce good results, have been looking at the various ways you can foil and think this would probably be the easiest way for me to try it, from what I understand is that you print the image via the laser printer, place foil over, then pop through a laminator?

You go, Gabi! That's great!

My folder got caught in my Mini Minc and sort of melted all wrinkly. I had to buy new ones and throw my crunched design in the trash. Believe it or not, it still foiled!
