Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

I need some advice. I have the original wreath builder, still in package. I ordered the Smaller Misti and need to return, it as I found out I need the Larger one.

All of my stamp pads from another company are over 17 years old and would like to start fresh.

I do own some of the Fall Colors of Ink Pads from Gina.... unopened.. so will be fresh... (about a year old).

1)I want the Fall and Winter/Holiday Set

2)What cubes should I get? I don't have any of the spring/summer brighter tones.. I am thinking for the Original Wreath Builder set I need the spring/or summer colors?

That I need the Fall Set but already have enough colors of ink in that area.

And re: holiday, have none of the deep reds or greens.

3)Should I get the pre-cut wreath builder white paper or a pack of the white and cut it my self. Any suggestions given the above: assorted paper packs or just certain colors?

Thanks in advance.. I have been just not sure

Hi Karen,  I will take a stab at some of your questions.  Number 3 -- I like the pre-cut cardstock for the wreath builder.  I have cut my own, but didn't have any of the heavy base weight and it was not as easy to keep in place.  Just for the ease of keeping it in place in the stencil, I like the heavy base weight paper.

Number 2 --  If you want to create for spring, the spring set is good.  If you want summer, the summer set is good.  You can create for any season with the original wreath builder, just change out the colors.  If you have a lot of money, get all of the ink cubes, but if not, take it slowly selecting a few each time you order.  I have most of the ink cubes, but did not purchase all at one time.  I just add a couple when I am placing an order to get it to free shipping or the free incentive.

On the Misti, one of the members here has the smaller one and trimmed the stencil to work for it.  I began with the Mini-Misti and then ordered the Original when I had the money.  I like and use both.  Sometimes I leave one image on one size and use the other for another image.

Good luck and have fun!  Look in the gallery and see what colors are being used, as some people list the colors and that can help you in selecting new cubes and cardstock.  I like to purchase assorted cardstock packs as I get a few of each color.

Hi Karen, you will like Gina K inks. I have other brands I purchased before, but will only buy Gina K brand now.  I have some of the full size ink pads which are great and then purchased an assortment of ink cubes and really like them as well.  Will probably fill in any missing ink colors with cubes in the future because they are so versatile.  The cubes are very handy with the wreath builder system, too.  I also like to get the cardstock assortment packs.  I have one for each season and then if I find I use a lot of one particular color, I order a package of that color.

Thank you so much for your assistance! This helps me to get it together in my mind. I used to stamp regularly, but life happened .... now really think I will enjoy returning.

So I chose the larger Misti, Holiday Wreath Builder, 12 mini inks and and black. The pre-cut wreath builder paper, red paper for holiday and a summer variety pack. As those colors pop for me and I do actually have most of the Fall colors from a previous kit I had ordered. Thank you!!

I think you will be very happy with your choices, Karen, have fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you create!
