Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi Everyone and Welcome to World Card Making Day!

This is the day to STAMP, STAMP, STAMP!

We are celebrating World Card Making Day 2012 with a fun challenge that is easy as can be! This challenge will help you make LOTS of cards this WCMD 2012!

The name of this challenge is FAUX LAYERS

I am challenging you to make a single layer card that looks like it's layered. In today's StampTV video, I show you how to make a card like this using Spellbinders dies. You can also use your favorite punches or your electronic cutting machine to create your template for your faux layer OR layers.

To watch the video, click here- Sun-kissed Autumn, Who needs tape?

Now it's your turn... Make your single layer card with one of more faux layers and add your project to the gallery here at StampTV using keyword FAUXLAYERS

Deadline for entries is October 9th at 11:59 PM. Winners will be posted in the Big News forum by Thursday October 11th.

We will randomly choose 2 winners from all of the entries and those winners will get a prize package of stamps, paper and embellishments worth over $50.00! So why not play along?

And as a side challenge, send one of those quick and easy cards out to someone you love and brighten their day. :)

Happy World Card Making Day!

Oh this was so much fun and a terrific easy card to make!  I uploaded my card somewhere ????  I know it is on my page but I have no idea where or what gallery it ended up on.  I did use all Gina K. Designs stamps for my creation.  I'll share my WCMD2012 Challenge FAUXLAYERS card here too.  I tagged it Fauxlayers.

I saw it in the gallery so you did okay. It's a wonderful card and a great one for a gentleman.

Thank you so much, it is for my father-in-law's 81st b-day on 10/23!  I'm so glad you found it,- I couldn't. I'll try looking again. LOL - I trust you though.

I went to the Search at the top and typed in FAUXLAYERS and I found the gallery that way.

How do I find the Faux Layers page to see the cards people have posted?  Do I look under forum, galleries or what?  This is my first time.

Another wonderful card and inspiration, Gina; however it only took me 5 tries and 3 sheets of cardstock to get my finished project.  I'm am not willing giving up my adhesive tape.  Here's my card. Too bad I placed my order today because I probably should have added cardstock to my list.  Oh well there's always next release.  Thanks for the free stamp set for WCMD 2012.  I appreciate you generosity.  You are the best.

Hi Fenicia, You can certainly play along with any stamps but the winners will be chosen from the Gina K. Designs entries. Here are the rules I posted earlier:

Can I use my own (cheaper) stamps for this challenge and get picked out to win or do I only have to use GinaK-stamps to win?

Here's a direct link to all the cards that are tagged FAUXLAYERS for this challenge: http://stamptv.ning.com/photo/photo/search?q=FAUXLAYERS

Very cool card for your father-in-law. I'm sure he's going to love it.

Guys, I had the same problem, but, I clicked on my own tag that said FAUXLAYERS and boom, right to the gallery.  I was thrilled, because I am NOT a computer genius, far from it, in fact I am usually plugging along, but I somehow figured that one out.  Probably a total accident, but I'll never tell..........oops, just did.  LOL

I would also like to thank Gina for her generosity in offering such a great prize. You are the greatest! Gina, I love all of your videos, but my guilty secret? Is the blooper video. Never fails to make me laugh out loud. Laughter IS the best medicine in the world, besides babies and puppies, but that's another story................LOL Thanks for sharing that with us, also!!!

loved this technique

Here  is my card for this challenge ~_^
