Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

I started playing around the the new (FREE!) digital files Gina K is offering on her blog from the "Floral Frenzy" Kit after someone in the StampTV forum asked if printing the digital papers was really cost effective because of the amount of ink used...well, check this out! This is a SINGLE layer card, I copied and pasted the different prints from the Neopolitan pack into the shapes I wanted to go with this PCP sketch and printed! (used Microsoft Picture It and hp photosmart printer) The flower was made with stamps from the kit and popped up, greeting was stamped also.
So I saved a TON of paper and adhesive not having to layer, and I SAVED it so I can print out this same layered mat again or make changes to it! I am finishing up uploading the pics and writing a tutorial for it for my blog, I will share very soon! Hope this helps you see new possibilities with digital paper if you've been unsure if it's for you/what to do with it!

Wow, Melanie! That is such an awesome idea!!

Great job - I can't wait to see your tutorial...
Oh my gosh Melanie - I could not tell that this was not layered. It is just scrumdiddlyumptios! LOVE IT. Will be excited to see the tutorial. Hugs n smiles.
how fun, queen of tutorials!!
Well how cool!! LOVE it Mel! I just think its sooo neat about the digital paper, like has been said, the paper packs you buy, I might really like just one or two, the other ends up way back in the closet, never to see daylight again, lol!
WOW!!!!! I downloaded mine.............now to get some time to play!!! I'm lovin' all the info and any tutorials or anything you'll have on this as I've never used digipaper before!!!
How clever are you!!! I too am waiting for the tutorial.
This is a great idea for cards you want to mail and not have to worry about extra postage when you layers made the card super thick. I plan to crop the paper in photoshop before printing (saving the original of course). That way I only print what I need and there are no left over scraps to deal with.

BTW, your card is beautiful.
I love the digi papers, Gina has taken all the work out of coordinating papers for us. I don't have to go to the store and ponder and buy lots of sheets that I might use sometime. I can print what I want when I want it and I know that they will always coordinate. Works for me.
Melanie, you inspired me to go create my own. Here is my card

With more details here http://buggin2stamp.blogspot.com/2009/02/can-you-guess-how-many-lay...
It turned out GREAT!! :)
GORgeous card Melissa!!!!

I don't have photo shop, so can't do the layers the way that you guys did, but...I did create my own double-sided cardstock. Maybe printing single sided dp isn't as cost effect as convenient but double sided paper is so much more expensive and this way you get to choose which two are back to back. I made this card as a sample of how I would use it.
