Hi everyone, and welcome to another fun StampTV Weekly Challenge. This week I thought we would use up some of our paper scraps with a technique called Bargello. HERE is a link so you can watch Beate Johns, over at Split Coast Stampers, do this fun technique. All you do is cut some strips of patterned paper, glue them on a backing, then cut that into strips across the "grain" and stagger them to form a Bargello pattern. I think you're gonna like it. I have a couple of samples to show you.
Here is the first sample:
For this card I did the traditional Bargello technique.
The Ingredients Are:
GKD Ocean Mist and Ivory Card Stock
Recollections Painted Fancy Patterned Paper
GKD Fanciful Tags Stamp Set
Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2
GKD Ocean Mist and Black Onyx Ink
Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Embossing Folder
Okay, for this next card, I cheated (shhhhhhh)....
I found some pretty striped paper, cut it in strips across the "grain", and staggered the strips on another piece of card stock. Easy peasy, no gluing all those pieces of patterned paper down first.
If this is the way you want to go with your Bargello, far be it from me to say you can't!!!
Here's the Ingredients for This Card:
GKD Wild Lilac, Black Onyx, White and Ocean Mist Card Stock
Colorbok Fresh Linen Patterned Paper
GKD Enjoy the Sunshine Stamp Set
GKD Black Onyx Ink
Memento Sweet Plum Ink
And now the fine print:
Be sure to have your project loaded to our gallery by Sunday, April 26th, 8PM CST. And don't forget to add the tag STV15MON16 so we will be able to see all of the gorgeous creations.
You can see the gallery HERE.
Have a great week and enjoy creating some Bargello!!!!

I finally got my work done, so I could sit down and look at your challenge. Now it is time to play. Love this challenge as I have a lot of scraps that I just can't throw away. Hope I can use them up. Love both of your cards Judy, thanks for the great examples.
Here are my mini-note-books that I made for this weeks challenge: http://stamptv.ning.com/photo/well-hello-bargello & http://stamptv.ning.com/photo/well-hello-bargello-2 ~_^
I am totally impressed with your "cheat". I'll have to see if I can find some striped paper and do that. Your examples are both lovely.
