Thursday Blast From the Past Challenge - 6/10/10 - Coloring!

Welcome back to another Blast from the Past! and a huge thank you to all who played along with the shaving cream technique - the cards are gorgeous!! hope you didnt find it too messy and dipped plenty of cards (-:

 

This week I have an easier and no mess technique: colored pencils with OMS

I didnt link the tutorial because for this one, Gina has a two-part video. Just pop over to sidebar and scroll down.

 

Coloring is so relaxing - free stress therapy !!

kept my card very simple so the image is the focal

 

I colored with prismacolor pencils using: olive green, dark green, violet blue, dark umber, sunburst yellow and carmine red. The dp is Basic Grey's Kioshi, ribbon from stash and cardstock is GKD's "creme de menthe". Love this little frog from the GKD set "Hang in There" by Theresa Momber. This little red-eyed tree frog changes colors with his environment. Love this because he can be colored to match any color combination.

 

Tip: when your coloring and you start making squeaking noises against paper, need to dip your stick in more OMS!

 

Really looking forward to seeing what everyone colors....oh my! this is going to be FUN !!!

I am new to StampTV and without the links I have looked but can't find the videos on colored pencils with OMS. I don't even know what OMS is? Can somebody please post the links? Thanks.

hi Rita here is link for one of the tutorials. look to your right and scroll way down under techniques and you will find the videos - part 1 and 2.
OMS means "odorless mineral spirits"
