Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hey StampTV fans! We've two new videos up on the main page and one of them is about Smackin' Acetate. You don't even really need acetate to do this, either! Watch the epsiode and see what I mean. :)

So, this week, I challenge you to use Smackin' Acetate as a background on one of your cards.

I ask that you make and upload a brand new project for this challenge and if you use Gina K. Designs stamps, you get your name in the pot twice!

Post your projects in the gallery using key/tag word- STVTC22.

You have until next Tuesday night at 8:00 PM to upload your challenge projects. Next Wednesday, I will announce the randomly chosen winner from all who played along and that winner will receive a stamp set of their choice valued at $24.95 or less!

Here is my project for this challenge-

I love how your card came out using this technique. Thanks for the tutorial Gina.

Mary
I have never heard of that technique because I thought you always had to have acetate. Thanks for enlightening me. Great technique and explanation.
Gina, I LOVE your tutorials today - especially the smackin' acetate!! Great card - I'm going to have to try this technique... I've never done it before!!
I luv this tutorial Gina! So many possibilities!

By the way what is the name, size & where can I get one of those nice Big mats you have on your work table...I would luv to get one. Thanks in advance.

This is so neat. I have never seen this technique before. Can hardly wait to try it.
Beautiful card, Gina. Than you for your tutorials. They are great.
This is just gorgeous Gina! Can't wait to try this too!
Gina was asked that in another section too and this is what she said:

It's just a large peice of card stock to balance the color on screen. I purchased it at hobby lobby in their section where they do custom framing.

Just thought I'd help ya out there, I was wondering the same thing, lol!

I had a real tough time with this challenge. I couldn't get a background that looked anything like Gina's. After 4-5 attempts, I made one that I liked. Here is mine.
Here is my entry for this weeks challenge Sympathy Flowers. I use a stamp from Elegant Flowers again. I don't think I have the hang of this technique yet. I like how it turned out but it is awfully soft. I think my spray mist must have been a bit much. This was actually my second attempt my first turned out real splotchy though I like Native Moose also. Just can't get a nice smooth rich look like Gina did.

Edited to add my problem: Silly me after I posted this I went back and rewatched the technique video. My problem is that I wuse glossy card stock,,,duh!
What a fun tutorial. I always thought you had to have acetate to do this...how amazing that you don't. I am going to try and get a project uploaded before the time ends. I am new here and am loving this place!!!!

Gina...I love your videos. I have learned so much from them. Here's my attempt at Smackin'.
I absolutely love this technique! I started and I can't stop! Look at the Time!
