STVMONCT8 Challenge -- "...And the Envelope Please!"

Hey ya'll!!  Welcome to our MIUM challenge!   Today's challenge is called  "And the Envelope Please!"

 

You can create any kind of card you want, but you must decorate a matching envelope too!   And if you are like me, I come closer to mailing something that I create like this, lol!!   Gina has some awesome tutorials about envelopes too here on StampTV...here is a link to those:

I used the new Cool Beans stamp set for my creation.  Did you know last week we had a 'National Coffee Day"?   that is what inspired this card!  :D  Ok, now for the small print:

 

Please create and upload a new project for this challenge that can only be entered into this challenge here on StampTV to be eligible for a prize, no combining of Stamp TV challenges.  However, you can combine it with challenges outside of StampTV.  And remember you don't have to use Gina K. Designs stamps, but if you do your name will go into the drawing twice!

 

You have until Sunday , October 9th, 8PM CST to get your creations  uploaded with the tag STVMONCT8 to our gallery here on StampTV!   Can't wait to see all of your gorgeous creations WITH matching envelopes!  Have fun!!

Maybe tomorrow...but too tired today. I used to decorate envelopes to match the cards now and then but have sort of gotten away from it. Maybe this is a nudge I need again.

what a gorgeous envelope. that is always a challenge for me, i like to layer cards and my card does not fit in a traditional envelope. i am going to see Gina's videos and see if i can get some tips on it.

Ok, how do you come up with such great challenges? I love how everytime, the challenges are so different. Yet, so INSPIRING! Cat, you ROCK, girly! I was still 'pumped' after doing Tina's a-round card challenge that I went to work on your challenge, Cat. Here are the 2 that I managed to do, in no particular order - Wishing Christmas with Envie and Let It Snow with Envie. Dunno if they're good enough, BUT, I HAD fun fun fun making them! Weeee!!!! Thanks, Cat!

Is there a way to "seal" the image on the envelope so that it doesn't "bleed" if it gets damp during delivery?  I stamp envelopes with words and don't care if they smear but if I color something I'm going to hope it arrives how it left!

I am not aware of anything myself....I havent had that to happen to often though, I've seen some of the ones that went through the mail that I have sent to my family, and they faired just fine...but it could happen...that is one reason i won't spend alot of time in coloring usually!  If i do, it's usually a hand delivered one or one that is stuck down in a gift bag...so sorry, not much help am I?

My card design was a clean and simple one so I also went with a clean and simple design on the envelope using the Cuttlebug folder to match the background of the card. Here it is: http://stamptv.ning.com/photo/christmas-card-envelope?context=user
