Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hey everyone! :)

Welcome to this week's MIUM Challenge!

This week's challenge is a fun one! Choose an image you have that will go OFF the card after stamping. Depending on your design, and how large the image is, it might go off one, two, three or 4 sides of the card.

Here is the card I made for this week's challenge.

I used the Fabulous Rose Frame, and turned it sideways, so it is going off 2 edges.  You don't see the flowers in their entirety, but it is still an interesting way to showcase this image. Look through your sets before starting and find images that will lend themselves to not being centered or fully displayed and still make a pleasing design!

Here are the items used for this card:

Stamp Sets - GKD Fabulous Rose Frame, Nurturing Blooms

GKD Fabulous Rose Frame Die Set

Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad

Spectrum Noir markers DR3, GG2

Pure Luxury Card Stock - White Heavy Base & Layering Weight Ivory and Tomato Soup

Cuttlebug Charles folder and die cutting machine

UPDATE:

Here is another sample to provide clarification on the challenge. It does NOT have to have flowers. It does NOT have to be a frame or a large stamps.  Look at your stamps and try to get creative about how showing just part of the image makes the design interesting or different than the full image.  Here is a owl from Gina's Wise Old Owl set peeking around the corner.  Small image, in this case going off one edge of the card, challenge met, creative crop!

Hope this helps!

Hmmmm. I'm gonna have to think about that one for a while. Sounds like a fun challenge though. Great card.

Great idea for a card and love how it came out. Like Judy really have to think about what stamp to choose. My question can you use a stamp that you can stamp several times so it goes off the page?

Hi Dorothy, good question! I can see where you might be going with that, totally get it, but for now I'm going to say "no", mainly because I don't want to have collage stamped backgrounds entered for this challenge, and allowing stamping several times would include that, even if thats not what you're planning, know what I mean? This one may be a little trickier, a true challenge! I have several ideas for how I'd approach this challenge, so I know it can be done! I may need to add some clarification to challenge rules, but first, coffee!! Lol hugs!!

Yes, thanks for the clarification just wanted to make sure before I start. Hugs and yes , coffee sounds good!

Hmmm, this one is definitely going to take some looking and thinking.

Very interesting! So if I understand correctly it has to be a large stamp that goes off the paper? Not just a stamp that is stamped slightly off the paper? Will look for your clarification later. Love your card! Thanks for hosting this week.

Great challenge, Melanie! This gets the creative juices flowing! I'm off to check out my stamps now. Thank you!

can I post picture here if something Like this picture would challenge? If I stamp big single stamp off edge of the paper would that would work?Rose Bouquet- Clear

Or do basket flower fruss cut there hung of edge card? Yes, not? I think this is something like Dorothy, was asking? But, I need if will work for the challenge yes or no? on either options? thanks Linda

I love this challenge and your pretty card. I made one for the challenge but after checking it over I thought it did not fit as I did not go off the edge of the card but had part of the image cut off by a frame  instead. Oh well! Maybe another one will work. I will just add the one I made but did not qualify to my gallery instead.

I'm not sure I have any large stamps that are GKD related except for the large daisy and one frame stamp. neither of which will cover a whole edge to edge of card stock unless I use a small piece and layer things. Clarification would be good so some ideas may come to mind when looking at stamps.

Although I used a large stamp in the sample, it doesn't have to be a large stamp to go off the edge! I'm thinking right now of a card I could do with a stamp about an inch and a half tall, going off one side of the card! Put your thinking caps on! :) Creative crops!!
