Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hey Y'all!  Cat here with you this week for the challenge!  And the title is  "This or That"  ...have you guessed what its about yet?   Another easy one on ya...I'm giving you choices!  You can either do...This one or That one!  here are my examples and what it is:

If you choose THIS one...You are to use vellum on your card.  I used it as an overlay:

close up

The made that rose by using a stamp from the Spring Blooms stamp set.  I stamped it onto vellum with versamark and then decided to trace it by using a Minc Toner pen then I foiled it with Gina K Designs Fance Foils in Sweet Mango.  The piece under the vellum is also foiled using a negative of a piece of the sweet Mango foil.

Orrrr   You can do That (or This! ha)  You are to Use and embossing folder!  Here is my example:

For mine, I used a piece of toner sheet and cut it to the size I wanted then used the foil but first I distressed the foil by wadding it up like a piece of paper I was gonna throw away.  I then embossed it.  Love how this foil looks distressed too!

Ok, its your turn now!  Do THIS or THAT!  It's up to you!  but for, here is all the fine print:

Be sure to have your project uploaded to our gallery with the tag STV17MON19 no later than May 14, 2017 by 8 PM, CST for your chance to win a fantastically wonderful $20.00 gift certificate to the Gina K. Designs store!

Great Challenge Cat both of your cards are beautiful too!!!

Awesome cards - would never have thought to wad up foil! Love both cards. I agree, need a tutorial on how you did the first one with the toner pen! Love the flower! Thanks for hosting this week!

Linda, you get to choose if you want to use vellum on a card, OR you want to use an embossing folder in making a card.  Your card doesn't need to be done like Cat's examples.  You can use a small piece of vellum, a cut out of vellum, or an overlay, like Cat did.  Or, you could use an embossing folder in your layout in some way.  She used foil, but you could just use card stock.  So, it's all about choosing which you want to use and then making something.  Cat did 2 lovely examples, one of each choice, just to give us some ideas.

Thank you Golda!  PERFECTLY explained!

Hope this helps you Linda!

Looking forward to all of the wonderful cards y'all will create with this challenge!

Hi Linda, from how I understand, you can either do a card which has vellum on it or a card using an embossing folder,  you can choose to do either :)

Hope that helps, Becky x
