Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Good Morning!

Karen here, with all the celebrating going on this time

of year I thought this might be a good time for this!

You know we have Graduations, Fathers day, Weddings, Showers... ect.

Not to mention Birthdays and Anniversary's.

I Thought this would be a good Challenge and some

of you may even use them!

From past experiences, ;) cash never goes out of style,  :)

always fits, it is the right color, and can be spent anywhere

the receiver want to spend it.  :)

I got to thinking... (that is dangerous) LOL...

No matter what I could buy my grandson that is graduating,

in a few months he probably wouldn't remember what it was I bought,

or even where he used it last or where he placed it!

He will be moving and going to collage, so cash is the answer for me!

LOL  Hope you all like this challenge and will play along!  :)  <3

Your Challenge is to make a Cash Card

(ok, even a Gift Card holder will work)

There is a Video tutorial to go along with this challenge.

It is on the main page near the top. I hope you all will check it out!  <3

Here are the cards I came up with!

This cash card measures 3" x 6 3/4"  On this cash card I water colored the front panel.

Then used the Ship To Shore Stamp Set to create this one!

Here is the measurements for the card:

White laying weight or Base weight card stock: cut 6 3/4"  x 7 1/2"  -

with the 7 1/2" turned to the top of the score pad score at 3" and 6" that will

leave a 1 1/2" flap Fold and then decorate. I used score tape 1/4" on each side of the 1 1/2" flap to create a pocket! That is it!  I did cut a piece of Turquoise Sea Card Stock of the inside and stamped a anchor on the inside as well! The money fits in the pocket just right!  :)

Here is a second card I made using the same measurements:

This one was made using the New Stamp Tv Kit: Sending Love.

The butterfly is covered with wink Of Stella... so it is shimmery!  :)

I thought this would be good for a wedding shower or birthday!

Here is a Gift card holder, for a second option on the challenge! :)

This one Is 4 1/4" x 6"  with the  6" at the top of the score board, and then scored at

2 1/2"  & 5"  that will leave a 1" flap for the pocket!

I used the beautiful Daffodils from the new Sending Love stamp set and Zig markers to color.

Ok.... It is your turn!  :)

Have fun and  Remember... The only thing for this challenge is it has to be a cash card/ or gift card holder!  How ever you interpret it will be the fun part!

I can't wait to see all your wonderful creations!  :)  <3

Don't forget!!!!

One random entry will win a $20.00 Gift Certificate from Gina K. Designs!

Whoop Whoop!!! :)  <3 Love when I get a gift certificate from GKD! :)

Fun idea! Thanks for hosting!

Fun challenge will have a go at making one.

Great challenge.  I just mailed two gift cards for graduation.  It will be quite a while before needing to send another gift card, unless something comes up.  Thanks for the ideas.

Great examples!  And, I'm sure this is one that will be used.

Hi Karen , great challenge looks like fun .My nephew is graduating soon and he will be going to college and this is what kind of card I needed to make thanks.

Fun challenge! I just received a few graduation announcements in the mail this past week and need to do something. We usually send a check so this will work great. Time to get busy and see what I can come up with.

If I find time I will try this challenge. I also usually send checks for birthdays and graduations so I am sure in time I will use these too! I must say I do like your examples and the cash card is just right for such occasions as this.

Hi there! I'm so glad you all are liking the challenge!  It just seemed fitting with graduation and weddings everywhere!  LOL  Have a wonderful day !  <3 :)
