Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Happy Monday, friends!  I'm happy to be hosting this week's challenge!

One technique that has made a comeback lately, is watercoloring!  It seems to be everywhere!  I must admit, I adore the look!  With so many different ways to achieve this look, it's something that everyone can do!  The only special tools needed are a watercolor brush and embossing powder.

I find that embossing the stamped images ensures that the image won't smear and smudge when coloring.  You can use watercolor paints, ink pad re-inkers, or even the ink pads themselves (by picking up the color from the lid using a wet brush).  I have even used water based markers before!  So, if you have can watercolor!

So, my challenge to is is to watercolor on your card or project!

Here's what I created for this challenge...

I used the Riding By Duo set to create my watercolored card!  After embossing it using black in and clear embossing powder, I used some Gina K re-inkers and a waterbrush to color my image.  The great thing about using re-inkers, is that you can combine the colors that you have to create even more colors!

The deadline for uploading your projects is Sunday August 3rd at 8:00 pm Central.
I can't wait to see what you all create!

Super Cute. I love your card. Wonderful watercolor…  :)

Adorable! I want this duo!!

Does the entire image need to be watercolored or can we watercolor sections?   LOL   Always questions! Ha

What a pretty example!

Great challenge! Love your card! don't have to color the entire image with watercolor....any watercoloring on the project will work!  Even a background if that's what you want to do! sure can use your markers and a blender pen!

Oooh, yes!  Any watercoloring is great!  From little bits to the whole's all good!  :-)  And please, use what you have!

Ok, I just had to play since I am taking watercolor classes. I love your challenge, and I'm glad I can play along.  :)

This is such a sweet card, Laurie! Beautiful sky wash. Lovely flower to match the dp - it's gorgeous and I so want to play!

Question:  does whitewashing technique apply to this Challenge, especially when we go back and tint the whitewash with water diluted ink?  Just asking.

I simply want to follow the directions, at least, for my entry or entrees.

Thanks for a fun Challenge, btw.  I love to watercolor.

Beth, I don't think this is inappropriate, but there are Online Classes for Watercolors.  P.M. me, for details, if interested.  First Friend REQUEST me...then we can talk privately.  Just an offer for fun, which I loved that watercolor class, and uploaded tons of cards during that session.  Most of the classes that have already run, you can purchase as a "view Only" and get the benefit of all the videos, and how-to's.  ONLY, if you are interested in classes, but would rather stay home and learn on the computer.  Just saying.....
