Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

So, who's using the Project Life or Simple Stories System? I just bought some project life supplies through our Amazon store but I am thinking about carrying the Simple Stories system in our regular store. I kind of like the idea that the pages are 8 1/2" X 11" or smaller. Then, I can do individual books for each of my girls based on their activities or major life events. 12" X 12" is great but it's BIG!

Let's talk scrapbooking? What are you guys doing to preserve your memories, (Or what would you like to be doing?)

Gina,I think that would be great to carry those.I have the 12x12 and it is to big...SO I am hoping you will carry the project life or the simple story system.I have 11 grkids and making these would help out alot:) Thanks for asking and hoping you a wonderful day.Hugs:))))

I like 8 1/2 by 11. It is easier to scrapbook. Not so much empty space. I've done to scrapbooks this size and I love them.

Okay, I think I will look into it. I actually like the way 8 1/2 X 11 sits on a book shelf too. It's easier to store, plus if you use both sides for one layout, you have MORE space than 12 X 12 but you don't have to. Love that!

I agree about the 8 1/2x11, that size fits so much better on a bookshelf.  I'm not a prolific scrapbooker, but the few I have done are 12x12 and they drive me nuts because they hang off the bookshelf by quite a bit.  I am just learning about the Project Life and Simple Stories way of scrapbooking, but I really like what I am seeing.  Makes a lot of sense and I love that you can move stuff around, that it's not stuck permanently!

I like the 8.5x11

I wish Project Life came in 8 1/2" X 11" but at least the cards and things will coordinate with Simple Stories pages and books. :) I really like the idea of the smaller format too. :)

As much as I love card making I tend to lose some steam in the scrapbooking department.  BUT I also have done some GREAT digital pages of a European trip.  I have this software that you can add ribbons and buttons and bows and every other element.  Made 12 x 12 pages, had them printed to the complete edge, and then framed them in those record album cover frames (I hope no one asks what is a record album, lol)   Could be a wonderful winter project to do, making the entire European trip and one from Florida too.  But I think I also like the idea of short one page little stories such as project life, maybe I'll give it a whirl!

Hmmm...the only simple stories albums I could find we're either 12x12 or 6x8? Am I missing something? Where to look? I would like the 8 1/2 x 11, I think, or the 12x12... But 6x8 seems too small to me...I keep waaaaayyy to many photos for that! If I was going to do 12x12 I would use project life, rather than 6x8 Simple Stories. Can you convince Becky Higgins to make Project Life in another size option?

Love 8 1/2 x 11 for scrapbooking and would love it if you carried the Simple Stories line!!  Honestly 12 x 12 scares me due to space to fill (scrap) and makes it hard to fit on a standard shelf.

OK ladies, I just wanted to throw something out there...  Creative Memories has a few albums that are smaller that are similar to the Simple Stories idea (just slide in pics & memorabilia and your done) but have the nice leather exterior and they are expandable so you can add pages.  They have 11x14, 13x9, 12x12.  The picture was taken out of the CM fall/winter 2012 catalog.  You can go onto the CM site to see different options - Hope this helps ~Laura

I use 12x12 Scrapworks box albums. They will work perfectly with Project Life, or Simple Stories. I will be using Tami's sets with those page inserts.

I was just looking at these myself, I am an addicted scrapbooker & thought they would be a nice change & a challenge to work with. Being from small town in NZ it's hard to get some of these things but luckly we have a creative memories dealer in our town, and after watching Gina do her page on her daughters swim team it has given me inspiration... Never know I might give it a go....
