Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hello stampers!! How many of you made it over to the release party last night??? There were over 500 stampers partying and 60+ pages of discussions! Gina ran out of Taco Dip but there was plenty of ice cream and other “sweets” ☺

It's Friday already and you know what that means. It’s time for another Potluck Friday challenge here on StampTV. It is my honor and pleasure as a Center Stage Spotlight Designer to host this week’s challenge. This week’s Potluck Friday Challenge has TWO COMPONENTS so be sure to read carefully.

Gina K has done a marvelous job of introducing us to digital papers. She has offered up several FREE digital papers and has several more for sale in her store. I just LOVE them and hope you will too.

This week’s challenge is to GO DIGITAL and use any of Gina K’s digital paper on a card BUT I also want you to choose a non-standard card size for the final project. We sometimes get “stuck” in an A2 (4.25 x 5.5) rut so please make your card any non-standard size and be sure to use some Gina K digital paper as well.

Need some reasons why you should try digital paper? Here’s a few for you to think about…(Carolina contributed to this list – thanks!)
1) You never run out of them, because you can always print more.
2) Digital paper takes less space in an over crowded studio.
3) With digi papers you can choose to print JUST your favorite patterns from a pack!
4) You can alter the look of the paper by changing the "scale" when you print.
5) You can print on cardstock weight for a base weight paper OR nice quality layer weight paper depending on your needs!! (Try that with most DPs and your card won’t stand up.)
6) Gina K’s digital papers are the best! They compliment the stamp sets just perfectly!!! (Almost as if they were designed to go with them.) ☺

If you are not sure about digital paper or how to get it, download it and print it, then click HERE for a fantastic tutorial by the very talented Theresa Momber. It’s not scary - it’s really pretty easy – so if you’ve been wanting to try digital paper now’s the time.

Please upload your creation to the STV gallery, using the tag STVPF19. You do not need to use Gina K stamps to participate, but we'd love it if you did! In fact, if you use Gina K Stamps on your entry, your name will be added to the prize drawing TWICE! Please be sure to create a new project for the challenge instead of linking up something you've created before.

You have until next Friday, July 3, at 8am CST, to upload your sample. One winner will be drawn at random to win a Gina K stamp set valued at $24.95 or less!

Finally, here’s my sample card for you – I fell in love with the Special Father’s Red Digital Paper Pack Gina offered up recently so I made up a card for a very special man in my life! My card size is 5x7 and I was amazed at how much more of the paper I could show off with this size layout! Since my card base uses the Gina K Pure Luxury Base Weight CS the card is very sturdy and feels “expensive”. Can’t wait to see what you all come up with. Hugs n smiles and happy Friday!

Rats. I don't have a printer. I love your sample card! Great colors!
Oh no! I cannot do this one! The printer is broken!!!
Your card is beautiful Pam!
Hey gals - no worries if your printer is broken or you don't have one - you can pop the digital file of your choice onto a flash drive and have a few pages printed up at your local office store for a very small fee. Theresa's tutorial explains more about this for you so check it out and you won't be missing a beat!
I am excited about this challenge. I bought some digital paper last night and I am going to try to print it on my new printer as soon as I get done here. I also love to make cards that fit regular envelopes. See you later with a wonderful card I hope. It is tough to make cards as amazing as the designers at Stamp TV. Pam this card is so cool.
Hmmm....I don't have an office store or know anyone who has a printer. I'm on the edge of the north rim of the Grand Canyon... Oh well - the cost of living in a pretty, remote place! Maybe I'll make a card with some paper that looks similar? I'm looking forward to all the eye candy these ladies will make!

Great job Linda! Love those balloons and Nina's new digital paper - I agree the images look like fireworks :-) You executed the challenge perfectly. So glad it was fun for you, too.
