Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

I am new at using the Cuddle bug machine.

Is it worth the money to purchase a No More Shim Embossing Mat or

is there something else that would work just as well?

Would I still HAVE to use a bunch of other things for a good emboss?

Hi

I know loads of people think they are wonderful, but personally I did not rate it, I think as Gina points out in several of her videos each machine is calibrated slightly differently and with mine I found I would of had to force it through and felt it may break my machine, If you have a friend with one that you could borrow and try it would in my opinion give you the chance to see if it is for you

I bought the 2 pack, guess it's good to have a spare. I have the Tan Embossing Mat. And it does work really, really well for making a good emboss while using Nesties.

Heres a great video especially for the CAS challenge which is going on now:

I also save the back packaging from the Cuttle Bug Folders for the other type of shim I use for making a good clean cut while using the nesties.

I have the no more shim embossing mat and it works great! You can get the same effect though using a piece of cardbox from a cereal box:)

To Alex: Thanx for your input. I DON'T want to break my Cuddle bug machine.

Thanx Colleen for your suggestions. Sounds like the "CARDBOARD CEREAL BOX" would be less money! LOL

Thanx Donna! I have seen this video. Don't you just love the way Gina gives her demos? Calm, reassuring. She is GREAT!

Looks like I will have to do more research on the 2 pack Tan Embossing Mats.
