Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hello StampTV friends! It’s Sheri here with this week’s Mix It Up Monday Challenge!

Today I’m challenging you to create a Sympathy Card.  This type of card is never fun to create but unfortunately is occasionally needed.

I mixed two stamp sets along with a monochromatic design and to create my card sample.  The floral element is from Melanie Muenchinger’s beautiful Fill It With Flowers set and the sentiment is from Theresa Momber’s fabulous Country Roads 2 set.  These are both wonderful stamp sets to have.

And here is a reminder about the rules:

Have your project uploaded to our gallery with the tag STV17MON5  no later than February 5, 2017 by 8 PM, CST for your chance to win a fantastically wonderful $20.00 gift certificate to the Gina K. Designs store!

(just a reminder too...no 'back tagging' which means, you can't take a card you uploaded before my challenge was up and tag it with the challenge tag.  The time and date have to be later than my time and date for this challenge being posted!)

Have a wonderful day!

Thank you for hosting this weeks challenge and beautiful card! :) <3

Beautiful card, Sheri! As you said - not fun to create but sometimes needed.

This is a fantastic and noble undertaking.  I think nothing says I care more than pouring my heart into a sympathy card rather than trolling the hallmark section and choosing someone else's sentiment for my loved one.  These are sometimes uncomfortable but I like said ..... noble.  Thank you for hosting and choosing this as the challenge.  Your card is a beautiful expression of sympathy.

Your card is beautiful. Sympathy cards are never fun to make, but they are an ever growing need for me.

Thank you Karen! Excited to be hosting my first challenge! <3

That is a beautiful sympathy card.  These are so difficult to create and, unfortunately, needed too frequently.  Glad for this challenge, as I have used mine and need to have a couple on hand.

Okay I must be weird because  I love making sympathy cards. They are usually so pretty. Maybe because I just make them with no particular purpose in mind. I always have a card when I do need one.

Are you doing the Yearly challenge again this year? 2017 When I click the link about that challenge it was for 2016. So if you are doing the yearly one are you starting from the first monday in Jan. ?  Thanks

This is beautiful!  I will make a card in the next few days.
