Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hello StampTV friends!  Happy Monday to all! Sylvia R. here happy to welcome you to the seventh MIUM Challenge of the Year! This is my first time hosting a MIUM challenge, so I thought I’d start with one of my favorite techniques – Emboss Resist. Gina has a couple of videos showing this technique – go here to see one of them.

Here’s my card:

To make the background, I used the two roses and the small flourish from the new Made With Love STV Kit. The inkpads are the new Blue Lagoon and Innocent Pink.

For my second card I also used images from the Made With Love kit this time with Lovely Lavender and Innocent Pink. Now it’s your turn, go have fun with the Emboss Resist technique; can’t wait to see what you make!

Be sure and have your creation uploaded to our gallery, with the tag, STV16MON7 and not later than February 21st 8PM CST.

Good Morning Sylvia! Thanks so much for Hosting this weeks MIUM Challenge! Beautiful cards, and I love this technique. So hopping I get to play along with you all this week!  :)  <3

WOW Sylvia, so cool to be our hostess and you came up with a really fun one along with some pretty special cards. Off to see what I can come up with.

Love your colors on your cards and this is something I wanted to try it looks like fun. Thanks !

Congratulations Sylvia with your first hosting of the Mium challenge!  I would love to join in, and love your cards, may I emboss resist with watercoloring also?

Beautiful cards, beautiful technique, Sylvia....Happy New Year!  :)

Those are both beautiful cards!

Challenge accepted! I love the cards. Thank you for hosting the challenge, too.

A good challenge and some great cards. Congrats on the hosting for the first time. Lots of work for you but we appreciate it.

Thanks ladies for the encouraging words. Even though I'm super excited to be hosting, I was also nervous; you guys rock with the great feedback.
Thanks Claudia for your kind words. As to your question on emboss resist and watercoloring, I don't have an answer, maybe someone has already tried it and can answer the question. I have done watercoloring and embossed with white embossing powder, but not with clear embossing powder. Let's give it a try and see what comes out.

I am so excited to try this technique.  It was already next on my list to try!   I blew it last week. I made my Kraft card on Monday, then came down with a stomach thing and completely forgot to enter it in the challenge.  I thought about it at 11pm EST last night.  Oh well, the pressure is off to get them all in for the year now.  My goal was to do each challenge this year, and I did that.  Thanks for hosting the challenge.  I am looking forward to it!  The flower stamps in the new kit are perfect for this technique!!!

Both cards are beautiful. I LOVE using this technique, it's one of my favs!!!
