Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hello Crafters!

Welome to the third MIUM Challenge of the Year!!!

Thanks to Karen for having me again, this is always fun.

This week, I challenge you to use a handmade embellishment.

I created a button. I cut several heart shaped button die cuts and glued them together, then coated with Glossy Accents (a clear, dimensional glue).

You don't have to make a button, you could make a background, a border, be creative! I'd love to hear how this challenge inspires you!

Supplies used:

Cardstock:

Powder Blue - http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=1621&cate...

White - http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=1478&cate...

Wonderful challenge Allie! This will be fun!  I love your button you made on the at pretty card!  Thanks for Hosting this weeks Challenge!  :)  <3

Great idea. I love the button and it's fun using the Glossy Accents so the possibilities are endless. Looking forward to this one.

Allie can there be more than one handmade embellishment on the card?

Beautiful card and an interesting challenge.

Well that's so darling Allie! I love all the hearts glued together to create a shiny button. I've done that will all kinds of die cuts - sea shells, tools, flowers, -- this is going to be fun!

What a fun challenge!

Lovely card Allie! Fun challenge!

Beautiful card Allie!  I am hoping that I could come up with something.  My imagination is not good, but I surely will try!! :)

Handmade? Now that is like beauty, its  in the eyes of the beholder. Aren't our cards considered handmade?

Thanks Karen!

Embellishments can be combined, no limits - just include an embellishment that you made by hand - it could be like the one shown or something else you make - like maybe something using a mold or a hand tied bow, etc. Have fun!

Bonnie, all handmade cards are beautiful and unique. This challenge is to include a handmade embellishment as opposed to or in addition to a store bought or pre-made item like a button, rhinestone, sequin, etc. My goal was to get people to think creatively and outside the box using things they have at home.

Oh thanks so much for the deeper thoughts, I knew this was the direction you were pointing us in. Hopefully my entry will be considered homemade.
