Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hello StampTV friends!  Happy Monday and welcome to Mix It Up Monday! Cathy here with a new MIUM challenge. The gallery lit up in color with Allie’s challenge last week, let’s flip it this week and go for Black and White cards with just a POP of color.

Here’s what I came up with:

I water colored the wings with Edible Eggplant and covered the wings with Wink of Stella glitter in clear. Want to know another trick? I was OUT of black cardstock (how does that happen); so I used my Memento Tuxedo Black to ink the edges of my white base. The white piece is layered over it to hide my smudges.

Stamps: Warm Spring Wishes stamp set

Ink: GinaK Edible Eggplant, Memento Tuxedo Black and Stella Wink in Clear

Cardstock and die cut butterfly from the Shabby Spring Stamp TV kit

Pick a color and make it pop by using just a little of it. Can’t wait to see what you come up with! Make sure to have your creation uploaded to the gallery, with the tag, STV16MON22 by June 5th, 8PM CST.

Here are the rules:

One lucky participant will win a $20.00 gift Certificate to the Gina K. Designs Store.

Can I get a huge WAHOO?

Hi Cathy, Thanks for hosting our MIUM challenge and sharing your beautiful butterfly card.  I decided my pop of color should be yellow and I really believe the cardstock is Gina's sweet corn but somehow my supply of this color was in an unlabeled bag.  Here's my card. Thanks for looking and once again thanks for hosting.

Thanks for the fun challenge Cathy!  Here is my card:

I really like this challenge Cathy!!  I had to use my new stamps for my second card! STV16MON22

I finally got one done for the challenge as I got some happy mail today with some new sets from Gina's new release. HERE is what I did.
