Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi Everyone!!!

I'm so Happy to Host this weeks MIUM.

I know it has been a little bit since we have focused on the MEN…and we have had several

people wanting some Masculine Inspiration!

:)  Sooooooooo, this weeks Challenge is to do a Masculine Card!  :)

Just think of all the Men, Men, Men -

Husbands, Sons, Brothers, Uncles, Dads, Cousins, Nephews, & Friends…

They all have birthdays, and other events that they need a card for!

You know they like to get a little note that reminds them how much you love them or to let them

know how much you appreciate them!  Guys really do Love Getting Cards!  :)

Slipping a little note card in a lunch box or tucking a Thinking of you card somewhere

that they will find it a little later!  :)

Masculine cards can be a toughie. Gina has some excellent videos, ideas that can be used for men.

Click on her videos and search for woodgrain. She shows how to use plain cardstock, a bone folder (back of scissor, back of butter knife, anything kind of dull) and create lines of any width. Take an ink and either use direct to paper or sponging to highlight the "wood panels."

Perhaps you could use Theresa Momber's beautiful sponging technique to create ocean, sky or mountains and sky. Stamp a tree or several trees and hand draw some "w" shapes in the sky for birds. Use markers in an upstroke from the bottom for weeds or tall grasses.

Other manly man backgrounds are Gina's "Polished Stone" and "Joseph's Coat" technique videos. With Joseph's Coat you can use any solid leaf image,

Vellum is a hot trend. After you make your background, stamp any generic sentiment like "Get Well" etc and attach the vellum to the back of the layer :)

Hope this gives more ideas ♥ Cheers!

Here are a few links to some of Gina's wonderful Videos….     and one more to check out!  I Hope this helps!!!  :)
