Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi all,

I just found this area and am grateful it is here.  I live in a very small town for the convenience of being near a VA hospital.  It seems I will be facing brain and back surgery within the next 6 mos.  All prayers appreciated!  I know very few people here and could sure use some friends.  I am on Soc. Sec. so have little spare $ to buy all of Gina's wonderful stamp sets....most of the challenges require them...sigh!  I am a step above a newbie and always welcome suggestions.

I just had to put down my oldest four-legged child.  Her name is Missy and the vet found a massive cancerous tumor attached to her liver and wrapped around her intestines.  I loved her and didn't want to lose her; but I couldn't let her linger in pain.  She was born Sept. 18, 2002 and was heaven bound on Sept. 17, 2010.  She is missed greatly, but now she is well and can run, jump and play again.  I have been crying over her for about a week now.  The few people I do know are dog lovers and have been very supportive.

I think about you every day, my Missy.  Thanks for sharing your life with me and loving me so much.  You will always be loved.

Oh Ruby - it certainly seems like you are having more than your fair share of stress. I'm sorry to hear about losing your little friend. I'm a dog lover and know the emotional love and attachment we have towards our pets.

The surgery that you are facing sounds scary, but I'll be praying for positive results from the procedure.

Gina's challenges - the Color Challenge and the Sketch Challenge do not require that you use Gina K Design stamps and they are a great way to increase your collection of GKD stamps, as prizes are given away each week. I hope you will give these challenges a try. The distraction of crafting will certainly do you some good. =)

Hang in there hon.
Dear Ruby, so sorry to hear that you are facing so much surgery, I will be thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery. We have a fur baby too and I can only imagine the pain you are going through because I know how I would feel if anything happened to our little rusty, he is a huge part of our life. I can understand that you couldn't see Missy in pain, we can not let them suffer they rely on us for everything, As Lynn said have a go at the challenges you don't need GK stamps to enter and you never know you may win a free set and that would really brighten your day.
Oh my...you have certainly had a stressful time of it... So sorry about your dear pet and your upcoming surgery.

Please be assured that you can play along with the challenges here regardless of stamps you use. I agree with Lynn on the distraction of a hobby helps and papercrafting is such an enjoyable one. I hope you will give it a try here...we would love to see your creations :o)

My heart and prayers certainly go out to you. I lost my first dog about 5 years ago and still cry once in awhile, they are gifts from God. I've since got another one and man is he ever spoiled LOL. I pray for a speedly recovery for you. Enter challenges, even if you don't have Gina K stamps, it's a great way to win some LOL. When I started I didn't have any either but now I do LOL. You are in my prayers! Have a blessed day!
Ruby how tragic to have to say good bye to your beloved Missy. I will be keeping you in prayer and I am sending you {Hugs} Keep us posted.
Blessings
Oh Ruby such a trying time for you, to have to let a beloved pet go and be facing some serious surgery. Keep your chin up and keep stamping, being creative lets you fly even if its only around the room hehehe. I think you will always find support here as everyone on this website is so generous with their time, ideas, and prayers when they are needed. Let the tears flow for Missy, I am a great believer in when the spirit of a loved one draws close to you the tears just fall in acknowledgment of their love. Big *hugs*
Corina,
I never thought of tears in that way. Thank you for that. And for everyone else who responded, I can't say thank you enough. You don't know what it means to me. I put a memorial poem up for my Missy on my stampers blog. I rec'd several negative comments and was really surprised. Our blogs are personal sites, basically, not a business site, generally. I thought the idea of blogging was to support, share, encourage, praise, offer suggestions, etc. All of you here have proven that sharing is okay. Thank you all, again, so very, very much. Blessings to all of you!
