Thank you for joining me last week for the "Shakin' Things Up"challenge! You were so creative with what you put in the shaker...I loved seeing what each of you came up with!
This week I am going easy on you. *smile*
I am challenging you to create a project that has paper piecing on it. This is a fun technique and one of my favorites.
Gina has a tutorial video on paper piecing, which you can find here.
This is my sample:
For my card I used Basic Grey's Origin papers along with Gina's Green Apple, Chocolate Brown, Tan Leather and White pl papers.
The sunflowers are from Gina K's A Year of Flowers and the butterfly is from her Picture It stamp set. Both the flowers and the butterfly were paper pieced. I used copics Y02 and E31 to add some shading to them.
The sentiment is from Lovely Labels.
I adding stitching around the pattern paper and kept the embellishments simple with just a ribbon bow.
I would love it if you would play along with me this week!
Sharr, I'd love to know how you made the bow. It's obviously not just a plain "shoelace" type bow. I like how it has the double layer part on the bow, and the knot is so smooth!
