Wow with all the weird weather occurrences here in the East Coast of the US I think I should call this "Freaky Friday Challenge" ! First the earthquake and now Hurricane Irene is bearing down on us this weekend---so for all my East Coast friends stay safe, batten down the hatches and take care. My family and I are used to Hurricanes but you never know so you gotta be prepared.
With that being said let's do a fun "Free For All Friday" and make it a BIT SKETCHY and to battle the weather elements I'm gonna give it a TWIST!
So you need to follow the SKETCH BELOW *AND* USE RAINBOW COLORS (colors of the rainbow) on your projects!!
You can use ANY colors of the rainbow, just use more than 3 :) So any versions of red, green, yellow, blue, orange etc!
Have fun and hope you all are seeing some beautiful weather in your area this weekend!
Don't rainbow colors just bring a smile to your face? I used the fabulous StampTV set by Gina K called "Vintage Chic StampTV Set". This set is packed with so many great images and sentiments and this one that says "Why are you trying to fit in, when you were born to STAND OUT" resonates with me a lot and I say it to my kids all the time! Don't be afraid to be who you are, if you are happy with yourself than that's what is most important! I stamped the sentiment in rainbow colors using different inkpads--just a fun look to match the papers! Embossing the aqua cardstock helps it stand out against the other patterns and a Bow Easy bow and rhinestones finish it all off nicely.
Hard to see in this photo but the kite was double-stamped and then one was cut out and put on with dimensionals for more pop! I stamped the kite the same way I did the sentiment and then added a thick coat of Stickles to make it sparkle! I used my Inkssentials Blending tool to create a cloudy/blue sky effect around the kite. Just a fun card that hopefully brings a smile to your face!!

[Please create and upload a new project for this challenge that can only be entered into this challenge here on StampTV to be eligible for a prize, no combining of Stamp TV challenges. However, you can combine it with challenges outside of StampTV. And remember you don't have to use Gina K. Designs stamps, but if you do, your name will go into the drawing twice!]

Permalink Reply by Gerry Morse on August 27, 2011 at 10:37am The Rainbow actually has seven colors ... with red always at the top ...the colors are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue. indigo (indigo is a dark purple) and violet. I looked it up this morning to give me some idea of where I want to go with this!
