Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Wow with all the weird weather occurrences here in the East Coast of the US I think I should call this "Freaky Friday Challenge" ! First the earthquake and now Hurricane Irene is bearing down on us this weekend---so for all my East Coast friends stay safe, batten down the hatches and take care. My family and I are used to Hurricanes but you never know so you gotta be prepared.

With that being said let's do a fun "Free For All Friday" and make it a BIT SKETCHY and to battle the weather elements I'm gonna give it a TWIST!

So you need to follow the SKETCH BELOW *AND* USE RAINBOW COLORS (colors of the rainbow) on your projects!!

You can use ANY colors of the rainbow, just use more than 3 :)  So any versions of red, green, yellow, blue, orange etc!

Have fun and hope you all are seeing some beautiful weather in your area this weekend!

Don't rainbow colors just bring a smile to your face? I used the fabulous StampTV set by Gina K called "Vintage Chic StampTV Set". This set is packed with so many great images and sentiments and this one that says "Why are you trying to fit in, when you were born to STAND OUT" resonates with me a lot and I say it to my kids all the time! Don't be afraid to be who you are, if you are happy with yourself than that's what is most important! I stamped the sentiment in rainbow colors using different inkpads--just a fun look to match the papers! Embossing the aqua cardstock helps it stand out against the other patterns and a Bow Easy bow and rhinestones finish it all off nicely.

Hard to see in this photo but the kite was double-stamped and then one was cut out and put on with dimensionals for more pop! I stamped the kite the same way I did the sentiment and then added a thick coat of Stickles to make it sparkle! I used my Inkssentials Blending tool to create a cloudy/blue sky effect around the kite. Just a fun card that hopefully brings a smile to your face!!

You have until Thursday, September 1st at 8:00pm CST to upload your entry. Can't wait to see all your beautiful creations!!

[Please create and upload a new project for this challenge that can only be entered into this challenge here on StampTV to be eligible for a prize, no combining of Stamp TV challenges. However, you can combine it with challenges outside of StampTV. And remember you don't have to use Gina K. Designs stamps, but if you do, your name will go into the drawing twice!]

So the colors are red, blue, yellow and green? Your card is so pretty!
Yeah this looks like much fun.
HI everyone---you can use ANY colors of the rainbow, just use more than 3 :)  So any versions of red, green, yellow, blue, orange etc!  Have fun with it!  I will try to check in as often as I can but I am away for a mini-vacay with my family and Hurricane Irene is bearing down on us come Saturday night so my internet may be a bit "sketchy" LOL!  Hugz to you all!
What a bright cheerful card to brighten any cloudy day. Definitely will play along.
Ok i didn't see the colors this morning when i looked at this, lol, need to wear my glasses next time. Thanks.
Susan, just keep safe. think of the rainbow. Hugs.
Thanks for sharing the info on colors of the rainbow. We don't see too many rainbows here in Las Vegas

The Rainbow actually has seven colors ... with red always at the top ...the colors are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue. indigo (indigo is a dark purple) and violet.  I looked it up this morning to give me some idea of where I want to go with this!
This is my first challenge ever and only mt second card! I just started paper crafting and been watching Stamp TV videos a lot. Where do I upload the image? I attached it here but don't see a way to tag it.
Great sketch and beautiful sample, Suzanne.  No rainbows in Pennsylvania, yet, just dreary clouds and on and off rain; but the sun will come out.....tomorrow....too much cleaning for me.  Time to play!

Neat card, Joyce!  I'm pretty new to this myself but have learned quite a lot from the videos.  I think they're addicting (LOL).  Have fun with your paper crafting and card making!

Thanks. So far more watching than doing... but starting:-) I have all the tools now practicing.
Here is my attempt.  I should have more than enough colors.
