Free For All Friday--Get Krafty & Red!!

Happy October everyone!  I'm so happy to be hosting another fun challenge for you all today!

  This time we're going to get

KRAFTY and RED-licious!

The pictures above just kinda inspired me and you are welcome to use them for inspiration too!

But you NEED TO USE Kraft Cardstock and the COLOR RED in your projects

(kraft cardstock comes in many brands but is textured, like thin sheets of cardboard like below--if you DO NOT have kraft then you can use a soft brown or cream instead)

 

I used two different Gina K Stamp Sets on this card-- "Farm Life"and "Dreams"!  I wanted it to be more rustic-romantic-nostalgic than down on the farm--whenever I see old red barns it reminds me of my grandparents farm and all the fun I used to have there every summer.  My dream house is a renovated farm house on lots of country land, with a red barn and a stream---now that's fine living to me!!  Right now I live outside of Washington, DC on the Virginia side in a semi-rural area but its not country enough for me LOL, so one day I will get back to my roots.  In the meantime I'll make projects to remind me of it!

I used Kraft Cardstock from Gina's store and the rest were paper scraps I had in my basket.  The image was colored with a mix of Copics (see my blog for full list) and then the fall trees were accented with Stickles.  The sentiment is from the "Dreams" stamp set--love the saying and my hubby's name is James Dean LOL! (no lie)

 

Now it's your turn to get Krafty ok!! Create and upload a new project for this challenge and it can only be entered into this one challenge here on StampTV to be eligible for a prize.

You can use it for any challenges outside of StampTV. If you use Gina K. Designs stamps, your name will go into the drawing twice.

Hi, Suzanne. Wow, this looks like a very difficult challenge. I actually love the picture of the boot in the first picture. I did some charcoal work years ago with really old red moccasins as my subject. It turned out really good. But, that was years ago! lol Now, I have to give it some thought. If I'm able to do something for this challenge, it will be a pretty amazing feat! haha! Your card is super AWESOME! Don't think I can top THAT! xox

Suzanne, thanks for the image and card, they remind me of my grandmother. She has long time been gone. When she was in her late, late seventies she took up oil painting and barns were her topic. Thanks for jolting the fond memories of her. Your card is great, she would have loved it.

I need a definition for "Kraft" cardstock. In the GK store there is only one listed and I don't have it.

Kraft cardstock--Gina does carry it but so do lots of stores and brands.  It looks like cardboard/textured cs but in thinner cardstock form.  If you DO NOT HAVE Kraft use a soft brown or cream instead :)

Thanks Tosha--I love red barns too and I love to paint--your grandmother sounded like a great lady!

Leslie--not difficult at all, your project just needs to include the color red and kraft or a soft brown/cream.  The inspiration photos are just inspiration not what you have to create ok!  Have fun with it!

Hiya chicken, this is a great challenge and hopefully im unpacked to join in as think im going to miss tina's deadline :( but cant wait for doing this one, now here in england our craft is slightly different colour its the colour of my cupcake card in the gallery so was wandering if this would count, excited muchly to seeing all the entries and urs ROCKS by the way

Here's what I came up with and this was as close to Kraft cardstock I could find in my supply. Hope it will do.
