Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hello everyone!  Thank you Lori for inviting me to host this weeks FFAF Challenge.

Sadly, I recently lost my father after a long fight with cancer.  Although Sympathy cards may not be our favorite card subject, I think they can be very comforting and even healing to someone suffering the loss of a loved one.  This weeks challenge is to make a sympathy card.  The only other requirement will be to add a 3D object to your card.  It can be flowers, beads, charms, etc.

Here is my entry for this challenge:  I used white on white GKD Pure Luxury cardstock.  The top layer is embossed and popped up off the card.  I used porcelain calla lilies for my 3D object.  The sympathy stamp is from the Nature's Greetings Stamp set.

As always:

Please create and upload a new project for this challenge. You may not link a previous card/project.  There is no combining of Stamp TV challenges allowed to be eligible to win a prize.  However, you can combine it with challenges outside of Stamp TV.  And remember you don't have to use Gina K. Designs stamps, but if you do your name will go into the drawing twice!

The deadline for this challenge is Thursday August 2nd at 8:00 pm CT.

Oh, Melinda, so sorry for your loss!!! Making these may be very therapeutic, indeed. Your porcelain flowers are so realistic, the embossing, sentiment and ribbon all mesh together into a stunning card. Again, please accept my most sincerest sympathy to you and your family. Aloha, Rosy

Melinda, I'm very sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is the hardest thing.

Melinda, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad.  I lost my dad many years ago and I lost my mother just last year.  The many precious memories you cherish will keep your dad alive and close to you.  And in time, they will make you smile.

What an awesome creation!   Love you 3D item!  did you make that out of that porcelain clay?   Love it either way though!  Thanks so much for hosting this week for us Melinda!

Lovely card Melinda, and very close to home. It's never easy to lose someone, even when it is their time to leave us. You know we are all here for you to support you in any way we can. Thanks for the wonderful challenge.

Melinda - My sincere condolences. It's never easy losing anyone my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I too am not fond of Sympathy cards, but they are a necessary part of life and can aid in healing just knowing that the person has touched so many lives and share your grief.

Looking forward to some inspiration in the gallery. Good luck everyone!

This is a beautiful card and a difficult, but necessary challenge.  So sorry to hear about your loss.  You and your family are in my prayers.

Beautiful card, Melinda! I'm so sorry for your loss.
