Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hello!  This is my first time hostessing a challenge here at StampTV - so here goes nothing!  I have a terrible time making kid birthday cards.  You would think that having 3 kids of my own - and countless nieces and nephews - that I would be rather good at this.  I am not.  So for today's "Free For All Friday Challenge", we are making Kid Birthday cards!

Now as you can see from my sample (to be added when I take a photo in the morning, lol!), I didn't really succeed!  I hope you all do a better job at this than I did!  I was aiming for bright and fun for my niece that is turning 7.   While it is ok, it's not really a *kid* card.....but I am sure she will like it anyway!

Please create and upload a new project for this challenge that can only be entered into this challenge here on StampTV to be eligible for a prize, no combining of Stamp TV challenges. However, you can combine it with challenges outside of StampTV.

Remember you don't have to use Gina K. Designs stamps, but if you do your name will go into the drawing twice! The random winner gets a stamp set of choice up to $24.95.

Be sure and have your creation uploaded to our gallery here on StampTV by Thursday 7PM CST July 14th, with the tag STVFRIEG1 in the tag line area.

This sounds like fun, I do not make birthday cards for kids so this will be a challenge for me :)
Great challenge. I'm not very good at these, but working with Operation Write Home, I really need to get a bunch of these done. Perfect timing!
Awesome! I have so many cute stamps that I love to use for kids birthday cards!
Cute card.  I have such a hard time making cards for kids.  It seems like all of my stamps are geared more towards the adult side.  If anyone has made very many children cards I would love to see some.  Any suggestions on some stamp sets or ideas.  Help.
I will have to see what I have for images to work with in making a kid card. I need to do a lot with four grandsons and I too, should make a bunch for Operation write Home too. Birthday cards for kids are always a good thing. I got a new set last week which I have not tried and might find something suitable in that one. Wish me luck!
Hey Shannon - I'm going to use the fishes or bicycle from my one and only GinaK stamp set "enjoy the sunshine". Bright colors, stripes etc is cool for boys and flowers with lots of glitter for girls. That's the way I'm heading!
Cute card and challenge Em! I'll be playing!

Emily, you are way too hard on yourself. That's a lovely card. I know what you mean, though. My great-nieces first birthday is coming up and I have been totally lost on what kind of card to make.  I don't have any little kid type stamps.  Oh well, it IS the thought that counts ha ha.

What a fun challenge and I think your card is bright and colorful, just right for kids birthdays.  Here is my entry for your challenge, Happy Birthday a Little Late.  Definitely for little and or big girls!

My youngest grandson has a birthday this month and it was perfect timing to make him a card. All the images I had were not suitable for a toddler, so I went with one of his favorites...balloons. I had to use brads because I didn't have a stamp image to work with. And, primary colors was my choice too. Here is the card I made him:

Here is my card, inspired by the poem, hey diddle diddle,,, thought it would be a great kids birthday card.  the sentiment is on the inside.

Cute challenge and hope to play along Emily!!  Love your card!
