Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Happy July everyone!  Can you believe 1/2 the year is over already?!  I hardly can - time is just flying since we're having so much fun huh?!?!   Today's Free For All Friday Challenge is a technique challenge: REVERSE SPOTLIGHTING.  It is easy & fun to do!

Basically choose your main image to spotlight and stamp it randomly on your card front.  I stamped 3 different sized blooms from Melanie's 'The Vine" and punched out 5 partial blooms with circle punches. Then, you stamp the same flowers on a different colored cardstock and position it directly behind the punches, creating a different colored portion!!  I even stamped some of the leaves and popped up the top panel to create more depth.

I look forward to seeing all your awesome entries!  Have fun!!!

Please create and upload a new project for this challenge and it can only be entered into this challenge here on StampTV to be eligible for a prize. However, you can use it for challenges outside of StampTV. If you use Gina K. Designs stamps, your name will go into the drawing twice.

Be sure and have your projected uploaded to our gallery here on StampTV using the tag STVFRIDB1 by 8:00PM Central Thursday, July 7th

You can see all of the entries HERE!!

I'm sorry, but I didn't understand how you put the yellow paper underneath.  Are those separate flowers cut out of yellow paper and placed like that?  Thanks.
I'm not sure how you're achieving the flowers underneath on the yellow paper. I didn't understand the explanation I guess. Is that a white layer of paper under the cutout top layer? Thanks.
Are you cutting out the flowers for underneath the circle cut-outs?  I guess I need a tutorial video!
Cheryl, sorry for the late response! Yes the little yellow flowers beneath are cut out & strategically placed behind the circle punches on the top layer. Yes I cut out the 'middle' of my white mat so the green card base showed throughthe circles. You understood right! Hope that helps!
Hi Cheryl - I explain a bit on how I did mine here: http://redcardcorner.blogspot.com/2011/07/reverse-spotlighting.html

Loved this challenge, it was really fun to do! :)

Whew! Donna, I think I got this one in pretty close to the deadline; but I got motivated and dug in to try the Reverse Spotlighting.  Once I thought it through I came up with this idea.  Here's my card.  Enjoy and thanks for looking.
