Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi

I am fairly new to the Stamp TV but I just love it. I purchased my first kit .(Made with love) and I can not get over how great it is.

Can you tell me how I am supposed to use the foil greetings? Is it as simple as cutting them out and using them or is there more to it?
Thanks so much.

Also, are past kits available to purchase?

You can just cut them out and use them, or if you have a laminator or minc machine and the special foil you can buy to use with them, you can foil them any color you have.  That's what I do with them and LOVE it!  It really makes them pop!  Here is a video Gina did when she released that kit, and after she introduces the release she shows how she foiled some of them for a card.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFttfMbzbZA

Oh...and once a new kit comes out the old ones aren't available as a kit, but you can buy most of the components...least the stamps and papers separately.

Thank you so much.

THank you Dapperddoxie!!!  Yep, she is spot on!  Arent those foil sheets the neatest!?

moved to General Stamping

In case you haven't seen it, she released another video today using foil!!  Just look on her you tube site...or the video site here and you should find it!  :-))

I saw the video. Awesome.

Just be aware that the foil technique doesn't work with all laminator. Mine is new and doesn't work with the foil. Will probably have to buy a minc.

That doesn't seem right Anne. I wonder why it wouldn't work.

Anne, I bought one just like Gina used in one of her videos for under $20 and it works great.  I just have to run the paper through three or four times. You may not have to run the paper through multiple times with the Minc, but for the price difference I'll gladly run in through a couple more times.

Jennifer McGuire uses the same machine Gina used and she runs it through without putting it in copy paper or anything and she says it works great. She also has a video where she does it so you can go to her site and view it. I was amazed that such a cheaper machine could make such pretty foiled items. It does take a little longer but for the price it is a great item to have. I wish Gina would carry that pretty Black ribbon she used on the foil card in the video yesterday in her store. I love that ribbon. She does carry the foil sheets though. I hope she makes more videos using the foil sheets.

I have the scotch laminator and it doesn't work either with the foils.  I have tried Gina's designs and the ones I was able to print at work on one o four laser printers for some invites to our newest clinic's open house.  Nope had to make the invites without the foiling.  Too bad we were all so excited to see how it came out.  I just plan to buy the minc

Melissa, thank you for your comment. Yes, I have the same laminator you have and I can confirm, it doesn't t work. I did try everything: changing the gauge from 3 to 5, laminating several time the same project, etc...I wasn't successful. I have to buy a minc if I want to use the foil technique.
