what kind should I buy? fine pt. or ultra fine pt?

The ultra fine point will let you do fine detail work. I have both but the fine tip is rarely ever useful because the point is far to thick and control is not very good. I totally suggest the ultra fine point. You will really like the results. Target and Staples have them in stock quite cheap...
AC Moore also sells them and you can use a coupon! I have both and actually use both depending on my project. You will will fall in love with them.

You can buy both at Target. However, the extra fine doesnt have as many colors, so I suggest you buy them from Amazon. Gina has them on her Amazon store.  Target sells them for $14.00 reg but on sale they are half that price

I prefer the fine point, but I do have the ultra fine as well. But for the most part I go to my ultra fine much more than the fine ones since they fill in a wider area, but still have a fairly fine point for smaller detail work if you are careful.
