This is the place to ask us anything you want. (Well, almost anything!) Need to know where to find storage for your stamps? Having trouble with a video? Need to find out what size dies nest together? Here is the place to ask!
Members of our moderation team, design team and I will check this thread often and help you with your important stamping questions. And your question may help others too!
Every Monday, we will lock the previous week's thread and start a new thread with the current week's date. You will still be able to read the questions and answers posted in past week's threads, however, by starting a new thread each week, you won't have to scroll back 50 pages to find answers to your questions.
Please ask your questions here in this thread and not by starting new threads as we can't keep track of all of those and have to delete those.
So go ahead. Ask us. We're ready to help! :)

Permalink Reply by Sharon Underwood on January 15, 2013 at 8:05am Don't stress, Lee! We were spoiled with 3 (or more?) a week...now everybody's going through challenge withdrawal, I think...or at least, I am!
Permalink Reply by Shelley Galvin on January 15, 2013 at 9:50am I have a question regarding , the new ink pads. First of all love the colors! I hope more colors will be on the horizon. Maybe a black, yellow, orange. Also love that you have co-ordinating items to go along with the ink pads.
My questions are , how well do the ink pads work on the stamps? Do you get a nice crisp image? Are the ink pads compatible with copics, tombow or any other type of marker/pencil that you choose. How long does the ink take to dry? I know some other inks take longer, and I go to do my coloring and only to find out the ink hasn't dried and the image has now been smudged. Is there certain techniques that you can or cannot do with this ink? For example , can you watercolor with this ink?
Permalink Reply by Lee, GKD DT/Moderator on January 15, 2013 at 11:27am Hi Shelley! Yes...more colors will be coming until all the cardstock has an ink match eventually!!! Isn't that awesome?! =)
And I can answer a few of the questions....the ink stamps beautifully! I get full coverage with the clear GKD stamps! And the stamped ink on white cardstock matches it's coordinating cardstock and ribbon and buttons perfectly!! The ink dries pretty quickly. The ink is dye ink...so it's waterproof but not compatible with Copics. I don't watercolor though...so I'm not sure about that specifically.
Permalink Reply by Shelley Galvin on January 15, 2013 at 12:41pm Thanks for getting back to me. I guess now the hardest part is deciding what colors to get is !
Permalink Reply by Wendy Bekx on January 15, 2013 at 6:34pm Hi, I'm wondering about Gina's card videos. I used to look forward them a couple of times a week and I've noticed for the last several months that there have only been a few of them. Blog hops are nice, but they're no replacement for the videos. I miss them! Just wondering if this is a permanent change or if it will return to it's former schedule soon. Thank you!!
Permalink Reply by Sharon Prophet on January 15, 2013 at 9:30pm I am determined to enter more challenges this year but I am not sure I am doing correctly. When we tag our cards if they are all GKD are we supposed to also tag that? I noticed mine are showing up in the mixed gallery not the GKD gallery. The other question is I sometimes like to write my own sentiment but would like to know if this would discount in the draw for prizes if everything else is GKD....it's ok if it does, I just want to be sure to submit correctly for the glorious prizes!
Permalink Reply by Lee, GKD DT/Moderator on January 15, 2013 at 9:34pm Hi Sharon! Yes...if you use all GKD then you can add the tag GKD. However...if you have the challenge tag on your card/project then it will show up there and that is where the winners are chosen. Writing your own sentiment is fine as long as you let us know it's hand or computer generated and it isn't the main focal point. Hang in there!! We love that you are excited!!
Permalink Reply by Sharon Prophet on January 15, 2013 at 9:42pm Thanks Lee! I am going to enter your tag contest next, just bought the TH tag die so no time like the present LOL. Sorry but I forgot I wanted to ask one more question, how do we look up all the cards for the challenge? I thought we just put the tag into the search bar but that is not working for me?
